How
loneliness affects menopause symptoms

At Bristol Menopause Clinic, we understand that menopause affects much more than hormones alone. Emotional wellbeing, mental health, relationships, and social connection are all important components of women's health.

Creating opportunities for open conversations about loneliness and emotional wellbeing can help women feel heard, understood, and supported throughout their menopause journey.

Menopause in the workplace is no longer a conversation businesses can afford to avoid.

From Spring 2027, organisations with 250+ employees will be required to publish a Menopause Action Plan under the UK Employment Rights Act 2025, with voluntary reporting beginning in April 2026.

But beyond legislation, this is about people. Menopause affects 1 in 3 employees at any given time, and without the right support, businesses risk losing experienced talent, increasing sickness absence, and impacting employee wellbeing and productivity.

At Bristol Menopause, we offer workplace menopause support designed to help organisations lead with confidence — including:
-Menopause Champion Training
-Leadership Awareness Sessions
- Clinical & Educational Support
- Advanced Professional Training

Creating a menopause-aware workplace isn’t just good practice, it’s essential for building healthier, more supportive, and more inclusive organisations

Loneliness can affect anyone at any stage of life. Changes in health, hormones, relationships, work, caring responsibilities, or confidence can sometimes leave women feeling isolated or disconnected.
At Bristol Menopause and Wellwoman Clinic, we want women to know that support matters, conversations matter, and you are never alone in how you feel.
This week is a reminder to:

Check in on a friend
Reach out for support
Make time for connection
Prioritise your wellbeing both physical and emotional

Small conversations can make a big difference.

What is the process of having a contraceptive coil fitted?

Whether you’re considering a copper coil or hormonal coil, understanding the procedure can help you feel more informed and prepared.

A coil fitting is a quick in-clinic procedure carried out by a trained healthcare professional. During your appointment, we’ll discuss your medical history, explain the process, answer any questions, and ensure the right option is chosen for you.

Coils can be used for:
- Contraception
- Heavy periods
- Endometrial protection as part of HRT

If you’d like to learn more about coil fittings, the types available, and what to expect before, during, and after your appointment, visit Bristol Menopause & Wellwoman Clinic

14th June is World Blood Donor Day

A day dedicated to recognising the life-saving impact of voluntary blood donation and raising awareness of the ongoing need for safe blood and blood products worldwide.

Every donation can help save or improve multiple lives - supporting patients through emergencies, surgery, cancer treatment, and chronic illness care.

At Bristol Menopause & Wellwoman Clinic, we want to say thank you to every donor who gives so selflessly to people they may never meet.

If you’re able to, consider donating blood and helping make a real difference.

HRT can be life-changing for some women, but it’s not the right option for everyone, and it’s not a cure-all for every symptom.

Menopause care should take a holistic approach, looking at the bigger picture: sleep, stress, nutrition, movement, mental health, lifestyle, and overall wellbeing alongside treatment options like HRT.
