Serendipity Care and Support is a domiciliary facility that provides care services across the Bridgend County.

Additionally we also manage residential care homes for young adults with serious mental illness. Serendipity Care and Support consists of two separate divisions its Residential Home, Supported Living and Domiciliary Care. Domiciliary Care provides personal, domestic and additional support to individuals in their own homes. The Residential Home and supported Living homes are designed for individuals experiencing serious and enduring mental illness, personality disorders and complex needs between the ages of 16-64 years.

ADHD is often misunderstood as simply being unable to pay attention.

In reality, many people with ADHD can focus deeply on something that interests them, sometimes for long periods of time. The challenge is often not a lack of attention, but difficulty regulating where that attention goes.

This can make everyday tasks, routines, conversations, planning and responsibilities much harder to manage, especially when the task feels overwhelming, repetitive or difficult to start.

Understanding ADHD means looking beyond the stereotypes and recognising the real impact it can have on daily life.

Paiton Clarke began her journey with Serendipity at 17, working as an Office Assistant. While continuing to work with us, she pursued higher education, earning a first-class BSc in Criminology and Criminal Justice and a merit in her MSc in Psychology.

Paiton is committed to social justice and mental health and works collaboratively with individuals to provide supportive, person centred care.

Her combination of academic knowledge and practical experience enables her to make a meaningful impact on both the people she supports and the wider team.

A lovely moment of pride as MF shows off the healthy stir fry he prepared.

Cooking is such a valuable life skill, and it is wonderful to see confidence, independence and creativity coming together in the kitchen. The finished meal looked colourful, nutritious and delicious, and it was clear a lot of care had gone into making it.
