📢 Important Update for Our Patients

Dear patients,

Please be aware that due to a nationwide technical issue affecting the E-pharmacy system today, all pharmacies are experiencing significant delays when processing prescriptions.

This situation is unfortunately beyond our control and that of our local pharmacies; teams are currently waiting for the system fault to be resolved as quickly as possible.

We kindly ask that you allow extra time before travelling to collect your medication. If your pharmacy offers text message alerts, please wait to receive confirmation that your prescription is ready before visiting.

Thank you so much for your patience and understanding during this disruption. We truly appreciate your support and kindness towards your local pharmacy teams, who are working hard to help everyone.

Drop in and have a one to one chat with a clinician about your lifestyle. You can then browse related stalls, listen to talks and even do a functional fitness assessment if you are 50 years or older.

1 Part time Medical Administrators – 27 hrs per week – 1 year contract
Salary £25,223 W.T.E

Portlethen Group Practice is looking to recruit a cheerful, efficient and enthusiastic individual to join our busy Medical Administration team for a 1 year contract, with potential for a permanent post.

As a Medical Administrator, the ability to multitask, remain calm under pressure, and think quickly is essential. Applicants should be enthusiastic and reliable, with excellent interpersonal skills, and able to work effectively as part of a large team. You must be well organised, possess good IT skills, be able to prioritise your workload, and have experience working with the public.
Experience within the NHS or General Practice is preferable but not essential, as full training will be provided. Flexibility to work additional hours to cover leave or sickness would be an advantage. While no prior experience is required, previous use of the clinical system Vision and experience working in a GP practice would be beneficial.
We have a well-established and experienced practice team to support the successful applicant. We also offer excellent rates of pay and automatic enrolment into the NHS pension scheme.

Tuesday 08.30 – 18.00
Wednesday - Off
Thursday 08.30 – 18.00
Friday 08.30 – 18.00

Duties will include

• Receiving, assisting and directing patients in accessing the appropriate service or healthcare professional in a courteous, efficient and effective manner
• Offering assistance to the Practice team whilst projecting a positive and friendly image to patients and other visitors, either in person or via the telephone
• Dealing with administrative queries and requests from patients/clinicians
• Arranging appointments, via our clinical system
• Giving test results/messages to patients
• Dealing with Prescription requests
• Ensuring patient details are up to date
