🐝 Triple forward helix downsize & upgrades!

The bottom forward helix is fully healed as we did this piercing over a year ago, but we then added another two to create the triple. These have been downsized and upgraded to descending opals to match the rest of my clients GORGEOUS opal collection 🩵💙💜

There is still swelling on these piercings, which is completely NORMAL when we downsize, it’s what I expect to see at this point in the healing journey.

Cartilage almost always requires multiple downsizes over the course of the healing journey to ensure it continues to heal how we want it to, so please remember to book in for your downsizing appointments and message me if you’re not sure if it’s time downsize 😊

One of my aunties cats has gone missing. Nini hasn’t been seen since Thursday, does go for a wonder for a day or two but understandably a little worried now that she hasn’t come back for a few days. Please could everyone keep an eye out for her and let us know if you’ve seen anything!

She’s completely black, small, slim build with crazy wide eyes. Thank you!

This was such a joyful appointment for me 😁 this lovely lady came in to have her anti tragus downsized that we did a little while ago, but then said she fancied a new piercing, do whatever you want… a piercers dream! 🥳 looking at her anatomy, it had to be a snug! Not an easy piercing to heal in the slightest, but she’s doing so well with her anti tragus and always comes back for check ups and downsizes when required, so we went for it and I’m obsessed with the outcome 🥰

Please ensure to arrive ONTIME or no more than 5 minutes early as I will be with another client and unable to answer the door until your appointment time. As it’s going to be another hot day, please please please, make sure you’ve eaten at least 2 hours before your appointment, stay well hydrated and feel free to bring a drink to your appointment with you ✨

✨Let’s talk anodising!✨

I’ve mentioned my new anodising service to a few of you who have been to see me in Portskewett already, but what exactly is it?

⚡️ What is anodising?

Anodising is a way of adding colour to certain metals (like titanium) using electricity - no paint, no coating.

Instead of sitting on top, the colour actually becomes part of the metal itself. That means it won’t chip or peel off like plated jewellery can.

⚡️ Why does anodised jewellery have colour?

The colours come from how light reacts with the metal - not from dye or pigment.

By changing the electrical settings during the process, different colours are created. That’s why anodised jewellery can come in bright, vibrant shades.

⚡️ Things to know about anodised pieces:
The colour is not permanent forever. It can fade or shift over time, especially with wear, friction, or chemicals. It can be scratched or worn away. Even though it won’t peel, the surface can still get damaged. Some colours are more delicate than others. Lighter or brighter tones may change faster than darker ones.

Holly was loving all the colours I could change jewellery to, so we opted for anodising her existing bridge, nostril and lip jewellery to this gorgeous dark bronze colour and I’m obsessed with the results 🤎

As I now have my own anodiser, I can offer anodised jewellery in studio! Whether you want a gold colour piece without the gold price tag, something pink, purple, blue or any colour in between, we can make it happen! There is a £2 fee for each anodising service (not each individual piece of jewellery if multiple are getting anodised, just for the service itself). 🚗 Parking info for tomorrow’s party/ open day! 🚗

Those of you who have been to the studio before know there are a couple of lay-bys just opposite the studio next to the grave yard. These lay-bys are public use so we cannot guarantee they will have free spaces.

If you’re local enough to walk to the studio, then this would be recommended to save space for those who are travelling from further afar.

If you know someone else who is coming, consider sharing a lift to reduce the number of cars around the estate/ area.

There are plenty of streets to park on all around the studio within in a 5/10 minute walk away, just please be courteous and don’t block anyone’s driveways, park on blind corners, double yellows or too close to anyone else on an opposite side of the street so that larger vehicles such as emergency vehicles can still get around you.

Check your maps before arrival to get an idea of all the surrounding streets in the nearby area.
