Samantha's journey into Acupuncture and Chinese Medicine started 8 years ago when she decided that she would love a career in healthcare. She completed a course in Higher Education into Nursing before training successfully as a Dental Nurse; it i

s from here that Samantha's passion to help people grew. Samantha herself turned to Acupuncture and Chinese Medicine to help her with a health condition of her own and found the results were amazing! After that, she researched the background on this incredible ancient medicine and fell in love with the way that Traditional Chinese Medicine viewed and treated illness. Samantha is now a fully qualified Acupuncturist after successfully completing a 4 year Bachelor of Science Honours Degree at the College of Integrated Chinese Medicine- a well established learning facility in Reading. She then went on to do further training is Cosmetic Acupuncture with Paul Atkins- founder and owner of Facial Enhance UK.

"My passion in life is just to help people. I can not stress enough how much I love my job and being able to help people both physically and mentally. Acupuncture is such a safe and effective way of treating so many illnesses and problems. It helped me in so many ways and now I just want to share the same experience I had with others."

🔎 So many women are told "Everything looks normal"...And that's where the investigation ends.

Except... you're still exhausted.
Your periods are still painful.
You're still not ovulating regularly.
You're still struggling to conceive.
You're still losing pregnancies.

But hey, your blood test from 18 months ago was "normal", so apparently that's that 🙃

After working with hundreds of women, I've learnt that "normal" isn't always the same as optimal! Especially for us women!

Sometimes the clues are hiding in:
• Your menstrual cycle
• Your symptoms
• Your lifestyle
• Your nutrition
• Your sleep
• Your blood work (when you actually look properly)

As The Fertility Detective, my job isn't to accept the first answer.

It's to keep looking.

Because if you don't feel right, there is always a reason.

And often, there is another piece of the puzzle waiting to be found. 🧩

👇 Have you ever been told everything was normal when you knew something wasn't quite right? I know I have!

After helping 100's of women with painful periods, this is what I have learnt... Painful periods are incredibly common.

BUT they are not something you should simply have to "put up with" every month!

Over the last 10 years, I've worked with women who have been told that severe cramps, heavy bleeding, nausea, fatigue and missing days of work or school are just part of being a woman.

They're not!

A period is one of the body's ways of communicating with us. When symptoms show up month after month, it's often a sign that something deeper needs attention.

One of the things I love most about Acupuncture is that we don't just focus on the pain itself. We look at the bigger picture:

✨ Hormonal health
✨ Stress levels
✨ Sleep quality
✨ Inflammation
✨ Nutrition
✨ Cycle patterns

Because every woman is different, every treatment plan should be too.

I've seen women go from dreading their period each month to feeling more comfortable, more in control, and more connected to their bodies.

If your period is affecting your quality of life, please know that you don't have to suffer in silence. Your symptoms deserve to be listened to. 🤍

Tampons aren’t something most of us ever think twice about… until we start looking at what’s actually in them 👀

A 2024 study analysing 30 different tampon brands found traces of up to 16 different heavy metals, including lead, arsenic and cadmium! Considering the vaginal canal is highly absorbent, it’s understandable why more women are starting to question how this could impact the vaginal microbiome, hormone health, menstrual symptoms and even fertility over time! Why would we want this in our bodies??

And it’s not just about chemicals.

Tampons can also create a warm, moist environment where potentially harmful bacteria are more likely to grow — especially if they’re left in too long. This can disrupt the delicate balance of the vaginal microbiome, which plays a much bigger role in reproductive and overall health than many realise.

From a Traditional Chinese Medicine perspective, menstrual blood should flow smoothly and freely. So when we repeatedly “plug” the flow with tampons, it can contribute to what we call Blood Stagnation — which can be associated with painful, clotty or heavy periods. In clinic, I often see women with severe cramps, dark clots and pelvic pain improve when we support better circulation and encourage a more free menstrual flow.

This doesn’t mean tampons are “bad” or that you should panic if you use them — but awareness matters ❤️

Some gentler alternatives include:

• Chemical & fragrance-free pads
• Period pants
• Menstrual cups

And if tampons are your preference, opting for organic brands such as and changing them regularly may be a better option.

Your menstrual health matters more than you think ✨

And if you are interested in checking out the health of your vaginal microbiome, why not book in for a Diagnostic Consultation and we can explore this together 🤍

As my first one was such a hit... Have another 😘

For years, PCOS has often been treated as “just” a reproductive condition.

But for many women, it affects far more than periods and fertility.

It can impact:
• Blood sugar regulation
• Energy levels
• Inflammation
• Skin
• Sleep
• Mood
• Metabolism
• Stress resilience
• Ovulation and cycle health

Which is why so many women end up feeling dismissed, exhausted, or confused when they’re only offered surface-level support or told to 'just lose weight'!!

The conversation around PMOS (Polyendocrine Metabolic Ovarian Syndrome) is helping highlight what many women already experience daily — this is a whole-body condition.

In clinic, I support women with PMOS/PCOS using a realistic, whole-body approach through:
✨ Acupuncture
✨ Cycle tracking
✨ Nutrition & lifestyle support
✨ Nervous system regulation
✨ Fertility support

Not because there’s a “quick fix” — but because symptom management, education, and feeling supported genuinely matter.

If you struggle with PMOS/PCOS symptoms, which one affects you the most day-to-day?

How many of you have been told in your lifetime that heavy, painful, clotted, long or absent periods are normal and just offered contraception?? I know I have!

Your period is your body's own personal report card and can tell us so much about what is going on inside 🕵🏻

If you are having periods that are dictating your life, your body is trying to tell you something. My job is to find out what that is and then gently push it back into balance ❤️

Even if you are not trying to start/grow a family, women's health matters and you should not have to 'just live with it'!

Imagine a life where periods come and go with no issues at all... It is possible 😍

PCOS may be getting a new name — PMOS (Polyendocrine Metabolic Ovarian Syndrome) — because it reflects something many women already know:

It’s not just about the ovaries.
PMOS affects the whole body:

• Hormones
• Blood sugar regulation
• Inflammation
• Metabolism
• Skin
• Mood
• Fertility
• Cycle health
• And so much more!

And for many women, they’ve spent years being told to “just go on the pill”, “lose weight”, or accept symptoms as normal.

You deserve better support than that.

In My clinic, I take a whole-body approach to PMOS support using:

✨ Acupuncture
✨ Nutrition & lifestyle guidance
✨ Cycle tracking
✨ Nervous system support
✨ Fertility-focused care

The goal isn’t perfection.
It’s helping you understand your body, regulate symptoms, improve cycle health, and making you feel more in control of your body and more supported in the process.

If you’ve been feeling dismissed, exhausted, or confused by your symptoms — you’re not alone. 🤍

DM me or book online if you’d like support with:

• Irregular periods
• Fertility
• Acne
• Painful periods
• Fatigue
• PMS
• Insulin resistance
• Coming off the pill
• Hormone balance
• Weight issues
