A Red Heat-Health Alert has been issued across southern England. Hot weather can affect anyoneโ€™s health, not just vulnerable groups. Please stay hydrated, avoid prolonged sun exposure during the hottest part of the day, and look out for those who may need extra support.

๐Ÿ”ดโš ๏ธ A Red Heat-Health Alert has been issued across the Midlands and southern England until 25 June. This is the highest level of alert and indicates a risk to everyone's health, not just vulnerable groups. Northern England is under an Amber alert.

At TMGP, we have been reviewing our workload and the way we provide appointments to ensure our service remains safe and sustainable for both patients and staff.

We have identified that the way we currently manage appointment requests is not sustainable in the long term, and changes are needed to help us provide patients with the right care, from the right person, at the right time.

From Monday 22nd June 2026, if you call or visit the surgery to request an appointment, you will be asked to complete an eConsult form. If you are contacting us with an urgent problem that requires attention on the same day, please call us or come into the surgery and our team will assist you accordingly.

Don't worry if you are unable to do this yourself โ€“ a member of our reception team will be happy to complete an eConsult Lite on your behalf.

Our aim is to ensure that patients are directed to the most appropriate clinician or service for their needs, helping us to provide a more efficient and effective service for everyone.
Urgent medical problems will continue to be prioritised, and patients without internet access or who are unable to complete an online form will still be able to access care with support from our reception team.

Thank you for your understanding and support as we make these changes, helping us to continue providing the best possible care to our patients.

Please be aware we will be closed for staff training from 1pm today. While the surgeries are closed you can still access medical treatment through 111, Out-of-hours doctors, and walk-in-centres such as St. Maryโ€™s Treatment Centre. ๐Ÿ™‚
For urgent medical help, use the NHS 111 online service.

๐Ÿ“ขPatient Notice
Due to sickness and unforeseen circumstances, we are currently extremely short-staffed. This may mean longer waiting times on the phones, delays in processing prescription requests, and fewer available appointments than usual.
We understand how frustrating this can be and truly appreciate your patience, kindness, and understanding while our team works hard to continue providing care for all our patients.
Please bear with us during this challenging period โ€” weโ€™re doing everything we can to get back to normal as soon as possible. Thank you for your continued support. ๐Ÿ’™

๐Ÿ’œ Carers Week 2026 ๐Ÿ’œ

Are you looking after a family member, friend or neighbour who couldn't manage without your support?

Many people don't see themselves as carers, but if you regularly help someone due to illness, disability, mental health needs or age-related frailty, you may be an unpaid carer.

This Carers Week, we're shining a light on the incredible contribution carers make every day. If you're an informal carer, support is available and you don't have to do it alone.
