Take a Breather UK is a reflexology, massage and wellness business run by Chris Maddon from a beautiful, quirky narrowboat located in Manchester. A real hidden gem in a unique, private and tranquil environment. Take a Breather also offer home visits, corporate on-site massage & wellbeing packages and guided meditation and calming practices for young minds within both primary and high schools across the North West, UK with our trained Mindfulness in Schools Project (MiSP) teachers.

🌞 🌊 Fun fact, no rain in yonks = shallow canals. We have spoken with this week’s boat hirer about the low canal levels and offered a refund, giving them the freedom to rebook later in Summer once we have had some rain. They were very happy as the low water levels had been worrying them 😊 Not many canal boat hirers would offer a refund due to “uncontrollable natural events” but I would hate for a family to hire a boat for the first time and it be a worry or a faff. A bit of jiggery pokery with the barge pole (oh matron!) will do the trick if you do get stuck at a shallow bank when mooring. Worst case, stay put and pop the kettle on and try again in the morning ☕️
