Take a Breather UK is a reflexology, massage and wellness business run by Chris Maddon from a beautiful, quirky narrowboat located in Manchester. A real hidden gem in a unique, private and tranquil environment. Take a Breather also offer home visits, corporate on-site massage & wellbeing packages and guided meditation and calming practices for young minds within both primary and high schools across the North West, UK with our trained Mindfulness in Schools Project (MiSP) teachers.

After months of hard work behind the scenes, I’m excited to share that our canal boat holidays are now officially underway 🚤

With two successful bookings already completed, it’s been fantastic to see guests enjoying life at a slower pace on the beautiful Cheshire canal network.

Based on the scenic Macclesfield Canal, our traditional narrowboat offers access to over 25 miles of lock-free cruising across the beautiful Macclesfield and Peak Forest Canals, taking you through picturesque towns and villages including Bollington, Macclesfield, Poynton, High Lane, Marple, Disley and New Mills, before reaching the spectacular Whaley Bridge.
