🌟 Welcoming the Royal College of Physicians to Heartbeat HQ 🌟

Last Thursday, we were delighted to welcome representatives from the Royal College of Physicians (RCP) to our headquarters.

We welcomed Hiliary Williams, Clinical Vice-President; Asheesh Sharma, Clinical Lead for Out-patients; and Bethan Roberts from the RCP Journal team, alongside Lizzy Macphie.

The RCP team were visiting the area to explore work taking place across Central Lancashire to support the development of neighbourhood health services.

It was a fantastic opportunity to showcase the work we do at Heartbeat, the support we provide to our local communities and the difference our services make to people living with and recovering from cardiac conditions. The team were enthusiastic about what they saw and heard during their visit and we were proud to share how our work contributes to supporting healthier communities across Lancashire.

Thank you to everyone who took the time to visit us. We really appreciated the opportunity to share our work and discuss the important role community organisations like Heartbeat play in local health and wellbeing.

👻🎃 A defib workshop with a spooky twist! 🎃👻

Yesterday, Jo took our defibrillator workshop to Pauls Farm Shop in Leyland — and for the first time ever, the workshop took place in a barn! 🌾

Surrounded by hay bales and with a spooky October-themed setup, it was certainly a workshop with a difference! Everyone got involved, learned valuable lifesaving skills and helped us continue our mission to educate our local communities on the importance of CPR and defibrillators.

A huge thank you to everyone who took part and to Paul’s Farm Shop for hosting us!

Would you like us to bring a defib workshop to your community centre or local group? We’d love to hear from you! Email Jo at [email protected] to find out more.

💥❤️ An incredible £15,138.25 raised in memory of Bobby ❤️💥

Today, we had the pleasure of welcoming Danielle, wife of Bobby, who sadly passed away at just 35 years old.

Through the The Bobby Challenge, the Bobby Ball and generous corporate support, an incredible £15,138.25 has been raised for Heartbeat. Danielle visited our fundraising team today to present this amazing total and we cannot thank everyone involved enough.

A huge thank you to every single person who has donated, to Carl for taking on the mighty Bobby Challenge, to everyone who attended the Bobby Ball, and to the businesses who have supported the fundraising along the way.

The kindness, generosity and effort shown by everyone involved is truly appreciated. Fundraising like this makes such a difference to our work supporting people living with heart conditions across the North West.

Thank you, Danielle, and everyone who has helped honour Bobby’s memory in such a special way. ❤️🌟
