GCSE RESULTS DAY — PLEASE READ THIS IF YOU DIDN’T GET THE RESULTS YOU WANTED
Today, you might be looking at a piece of paper thinking your future has just been decided.
Please believe me when I tell you… it hasn’t.
I was never the most academic person. I was always much more creative, and school was never where I felt like I truly thrived.
I’ve never had a client, student, supplier or anyone in business ask to see my GCSE results.
Because those numbers don’t tell you how ambitious, creative or determined you are. They don’t tell you how good you are with people, and they definitely don’t tell you what you’re capable of building.
I started my lash business when I was just 17 years old.
Since then, I’ve built a six-figure business, opened my own salon, created a team and trained and helped thousands of students build careers in the lash industry.
And none of that was determined by the grades I got at 16.
So if you’re feeling disappointed today, please don’t let one set of results convince you that you won’t be successful.
There are SO many different ways to build an amazing life.
Maybe you’re more creative than academic. Maybe you’re entrepreneurial. Maybe you learn better by actually doing rather than sitting in a classroom.
That doesn’t make you less capable. It just means you need to find where you thrive.
If you’ve always dreamed of working in the beauty industry, starting your own business or working for yourself, you don’t have to follow the traditional path to be successful.
I started with a pair of tweezers, a set of lashes and a decision to give myself a chance.
Your GCSE results are a chapter.
They are not your whole story. 🤍
