UNTIL WE RIDE AGAIN !

Good Morning Everyone.

Today you find me (and possibly Andy as well) sitting at home in my dressing gown, drinking tea, eating toast and feeling rested and pain free knowing that today my battered and bruised bottom can take the first steps of recovery by not having to ride the 'ironing board' Honda seat again for a long time, if ever! Along with Andy, we lived the dream, we visited our beautiful nation from top to bottom, left to right and a few bits in between in our 'Ride for Rosemere' quest to raise fund to support Lancashires very own Rosemere Cancer Foundation and their mission to fight cancer and support sufferers through the healing process. So why this message if the ride is over ?read on

We understand that what we did was a challenge and, quite rightly, there will be people who will only make a donation once the challenge has been completed and the promise fulfilled, which is now at termmination point on both fronts so please, if this was how you set yourself up to make a donation, then please consider doing so before the end of September her 2026 whan we will be closing the current 'Just Giving' page. Below you will find the required link that will enable you to make that donation which, I'm very sure, will give you such a feeling of satisfaction knowing that your donation, however large or small, will go some way to reducing the current 50% of population rate of sufferers to eventually a more acceptable level nearer to 0%.

Good Morning World.

Today we will be returning to Chorley via the Mersey Tunnel and the greatest City in the world, LIVERPOOL. This past week has been truly amazing, we have ridden through some spectacular scenery as we made progress through the North West of England, into Scotland, down to the North East, into East Anglia, cross country to Somerset, down to Cornwall through Devon before retracking to make our way home via Norrh Wales. This was a biking challenge that made its own rewards day by day as we watched the 'Just Giving' page clock up the donations from friends, family and strangers we may never meet. So, at this point Andy and myself say thank you, your generosity is already making a difference in the battle to conquer cancer.
And Finally, as most of you who know me (Steven), I am a true nutter for engineering, a sort of latter day Fred Dibnah, a back street mechanic who loves engines and stuff like that. Andy on the other hand is a proper Engineer with a degree and a background in Rolls Royce and British Aerospace. My hero then can only be the one and only, Isambard Kingdom Brunel. Holding that thought, imagine my excitement yesterday as on our way through Bristol we were treated to the spectacle of riding beneath the magnificent Clifton Suspension Bridge over the River Avon, a Brunel masterpiece, it doesn't get any better than that.

Time to go now, see you in Chorley later today.

They’re on their way home this morning. ETA arrival at The spinner at Cowling around 12 noon. If anyone wants to come and welcome them back home. To date they have raised £900 for Rosemere on this trip.

Our last night in North Wales, as the sun sets the two of us have lots to laugh about and memories that will last forever. Most of all the generosity of you folks supporting Rosemere Cancer Trust. Without them Steve probably wouldn't be here. Please if you can help us hit our target. Believe me after this second big ride I know every one needs a Steve in their life.

Good Morning Everyone.
Today we start to join the dots as we make our way down A30 to Lands End, bringing our mileage to date to an astounding 1900 at testime tonight. We have experienced our wonderful United Kingdom from the seat of a motorcycle using the historic 'A' Roads rather than the fast boring motorways. The places we have been too and the people in them have been warm and welcoming. At this point let me thank everyone who have supported Andy and myself on this epic fundraising trip for our friends at Rosemere Cancer Foundation, an organisation within the NHS who go that extra mile to ensure that all cancer sufferers get the best care possible during the journey they have to endure. Our just giving page is still active and I would like to invite everyone to just give us a few bob if you can spare it.
That's all for now
Cheers
Steven and Andy
