This ABI Week, we joined Headway Central Lancashire for a lovely coffee morning at the Gentry Bar at Preston’s Deepdale.

The event focused on this year’s ABI Week theme of loneliness, and the importance of bringing people together after brain injury.

There was a presentation from Headway Central Lancashire, some brilliant hat-making for Hats for Headway using craft paper and newspaper, and even a mini fashion show to show off everyone’s hard work.

A really meaningful morning, full of creativity, conversation and connection. Thank you to Headway Central Lancashire for having us. 💚

In April 2026, Headway UK ran a series of surveys to better understand the experiences of social isolation among brain injury survivors and carers.

We said farewell today to our Occupational Therapy apprentice, Kelly. While at Headway, Kelly became an integral part of the team and we will miss her ⭐️😀👏👏

One of her projects was a booklet for brain injury survivors and we will be uploading this to our site for ABI week 2026!
