This is a very bittersweet goodbye but Iโ€™ve decided to close Chaos to Calm.

I know I donโ€™t have to go into the reasons, but it doesnโ€™t sit right with me not doing so, so save this & come back with a cuppa โ˜•๏ธ

๐€๐ƒ๐‡๐ƒ ๐ข๐ฌ ๐ฏ๐ž๐ซ๐ฒ ๐œ๐จ๐ฆ๐ฉ๐ฅ๐ž๐ฑ: The main reason Chaos to Calm started was due to my own difficulties with planning, especially with having ADHD. I searched & searched for an ADHD friendly planner & just couldnโ€™t find what I was looking for. So I decided to close a gap in the market.

For those that donโ€™t know, over 9 months, I carried out an 8000 word research project - a dissertation to finish my Psychology degree. & albeit naive, I went into the project thinking โ€œI canโ€™t wait to finally fully understand what โ€˜ADHD-friendlyโ€™ planning looks likeโ€. & (ofcourse maintaining confidentiality for my participants) I quickly realised, there simply isnโ€™t an ADHD-friendly approach to planning.

Ofcourse, there are organisational strategies that work for individuals with ADHD - myself included. But there certainly is not a one size fits all approach. ADHD shows up in so many different ways & we all have so many individual differences.
I could have made multiple planners & guides etc to suit all needs but the task was simply too much for my ADHD brain! ๐Ÿ˜‚

๐“๐ก๐ž ๐ฉ๐ซ๐ข๐œ๐ž ๐จ๐Ÿ ๐ซ๐ž๐ฅ๐ž๐š๐ฌ๐ข๐ง๐  ๐ฉ๐ก๐ฒ๐ฌ๐ข๐œ๐š๐ฅ ๐ฉ๐ซ๐จ๐๐ฎ๐œ๐ญ๐ฌ: I had plans to release physical planners - my absolute dream goal โœจ I was even lucky enough to secure some funding to help me with the intial cost. However, even with this funding, the price of having all my ideas into physical products was just too expensive. After taking into consideration print cost, postage and packing costs & other various costs, my profit margins would be extremely minimal. I also had various annual subscription charges to keep up with.

๐‰๐š๐œ๐ค ๐จ๐Ÿ ๐š๐ฅ๐ฅ ๐ญ๐ซ๐š๐๐ž๐ฌ: The amount of other skills I had to undertake was becoming burdensome. I had to develop website design skills, whilst continually improving my design skills for my planners, be social media savy, my own accountantโ€ฆ The list is endless & I just wanted to create pretty planners & thatโ€™s it! ๐Ÿ˜‚

๐Œ๐ฒ ๐จ๐ฐ๐ง ๐Ÿ๐ฎ๐ญ๐ฎ๐ซ๐ž: Iโ€™ve finished my degree & Iโ€™m now looking for my full time career. This is something Iโ€™ve worked extremely hard towards & I need to give it 1000%. I simply canโ€™t do that if Iโ€™m also running a business. I have actually recently gained a new job for 5 hours per week & that also deserves my time

๐€๐ƒ๐‡๐ƒ: Throughout my time during Chaos to Calm, & since my own diagnosis of ADHD 4 years ago, Ive had & still get messages all the time, asking me questions about ADHD.

Iโ€™ve decided to make some guides/PDF booklets to condense all my knowledge & lived experience into one place, to help you navigate your own journey. During the last year or so of my degree, there were many opportunities for independence on our studies, and I chose to focus on ADHD. So my knowledge also comes from Psychological theory & studies.

There will be a booklet on โ€œdo I need a diagnosis?โ€ Because I know many people who think they have ADHD but are not sure if they should go through the process of gaining an official diagnosis. And also booklets on life after diagnosis, the ADHD hacks I use every day, ADHD medication & general useful knowledge etc etc.
