Meet Your Podiatrist at Sole Works Irvine – Laura Smith HCPC Registered Podiatrist.

Laura has a fantastic background in healthcare. She began her career working as a carer and Foot Health Practitioner, and then continued her education to complete her Podiatry degree.

She also runs a successful healthcare practice in Stranraer, bringing a wealth of experience and knowledge to her role at Sole Works.

Partial nail surgery is an effective and successful treatment for problematic ingrown toenails.

By removing the offending section of nail, we can relieve pressure, reduce pain and help prevent the nail from repeatedly becoming ingrown.

At Sole Works Podiatry, partial nail surgery is available with local anaesthetic and appropriate aftercare to support healing.

We’ve noticed more and more patients attending Sole Works Podiatry with painful ingrown toenails.

From the picture above, it’s worth noting the amount of hypergranulation tissue present, as well as the size of the nail spur that was causing the problem.

Ingrown toenails can become increasingly painful and infection can occur if left untreated.

Nail surgery appointments are available daily at Sole Works Podiatry.

Laura has been over in Turkey, Dalyan, attending a podiatry conference. Laura managed to enjoy plenty of sunshine, swimming and even getting in the water with the turtles! 🐢☀️

Meanwhile, Daniel and I have just returned from a boys’ trip to Italy 🇮🇹 After all the walking, I’ve definitely had to practice what I preach. I came home absolutely blistered!

Thankfully, I had Daniel to sort me out as soon as we got back. 😂 We’re all back this week and ready to get back to work! We’ll be opening up more clinic hours to accommodate everyone and get appointments back to normal.

Clinic was closed today, with both of us off getting our perms done. Appointments are limited at the moment, with Laura being in Turkey and Dan and I heading off to Italy next week. 🇮🇹

But don’t stress, Dan has opened up his diary for Tuesday before we fly, so there are still some appointments available!

We’ll return all calls and texts as soon as we can. 📞📱

And yes… I think I actually own a trackie like that 🤦🏻.

6 YEARS OF SOLE WORKS PODIATRY! 🎉

Today marks 6 years since we first opened our doors.

In those 6 years, a lot has changed, from staff members and clinics to services, equipment and, unfortunately, the hairline😂
