💙💛 FLU JABS AT MONKTON PHARMACY 💛💙

As we head into winter, it’s time to get protected against flu! 🦠💉

NHS FLU VACCINATIONS

If you’re aged 65 or over, or have certain underlying health conditions, you may be eligible for a FREE NHS flu vaccination.

The NHS eligibility criteria include conditions such as:
• Asthma and other long-term respiratory conditions
• Heart conditions
• Kidney or liver disease
• Diabetes
• Neurological conditions
• A weakened immune system
• Certain other long-term health conditions

There are also other groups who qualify for an NHS flu vaccination, including pregnant women, certain carers and people living in care homes.

💙💛NOT ELIGIBLE FOR AN NHS FLU JAB?💙💛

💉 Private flu vaccinations will be available at Monkton Pharmacy from mid-November.

This later start is due to the updated flu vaccines for the 2026/27 season. All three virus components have been updated this year, which is unusual and has resulted in manufacturing and supply delays.

⚽️ World Cup additional public holiday ⚽️

We are open as normal today from 9am – 5:30pm, operating a full service - however some deliveries may be disrupted due to some wholesalers not delivering today.

Most GP Practices will be closed all day, reopening tomorrow. If you require something urgently, come down and see us and we’ll assist where able.

We will be open all other days as normal.

If you have a regular collection to pick up on this day then please make arrangements to collect it towards the end of the week, or give us a ring for delivery.

1 year old today! 🎁 🎂 🎈

Well that was a quick year! Almost unbelievable that this time last year we were opening the doors for the first time!

We’ve been blown away by the unbelievable support we’ve received, and hope we’ve been able to give the village the quick and personable service it deserves.
