'I didn't realise how tense I was until you told me to relax.'

It's something I often hear after my Stillness in Sound sessions.

Through Yoga Nidra and the beautiful sounds of my traditional Tibetan Singing Bowls, I help busy brains and weary bodies finally get the memo that it's safe to switch off for a while.

One client recently described the difference between before and after her session as 'night and day.'

Deep rest, gentle relaxation and quite possibly the best night's sleep you've had in ages.

Come and join me for an hour of stress-melting stillness and soothing sounds.

AN OPEN LETTER, TO MY FUTURE REST REBEL…

Dear lovely Rest Rebel,

Firstly, thank you so much for opening up to me and sharing how you feel.

Once we acknowledge how we feel the biggest step is already done, now we can make a plan, take gentle action and be well on the way to change.

Please know that feeling like this is totally normal, and there have been times I have felt this myself.

You CAN be grateful for all you have and still want more, or different, and you don’t HAVE to be grateful just because others are worse off, or it is what others would like. What IS important is you.

When you’ve always been the strong one, keeping things going, taking on others’ problems, helping them out, keeping life ticking over, it’s only natural your mind, body or both will start to give you some nudges that you’ve forgotten yourself in it all, or are not prioritising you.

There’s only so long you can keep an engine running or a fire burning before it runs out of fuel.

It’s not selfish to put yourself first, say no to others, spend time on you, it’s just become something you’ve forgotten how to do, or maybe never practised, and we can soon start to feel different around this.

We often tell ourselves we’ll do it when XYZ, and then more life stuff comes up.

The best time is now.

You’ve decided you no longer want to feel the way you do.

You are 100% ready.

It doesn’t need to be a huge life overhaul, in fact, the smaller the steps, the better.

You do know what lights you up, you do know what calm feels like – it’s just become a distant friend so no longer feels a part of you, or familiar.

I would absolutely love to help you find your way again and get your mojo back.

I have 100% faith in you because the hard bit is already done – recognising it, then asking for support.

Are you ready?

Let’s go.

Deep breaths and big love,

Sally

My heart is full 🥰

I absolutely loved the Zoom session with my 1:1 client this evening.

Today we explored changing an old narrative that's been quietly running the show for a while, talked about what trust FEELS like in the body, rather than just the mind, and pondered where a little more balance is required as we head towards Summer Solstice.

There were a few lightbulb moments, some laughter, and a plan for a rest practice, and balance practice I'll be creating for her to work with between now and our next session.

This is why I love 1:1 work.

It's never just mindset.
It's never just rest.
It's never just strategy.

It's all connected.

The stories we tell ourselves, the way our body responds, and the small shifts that can change so much. 💜

Big transformation, one small shift at a time ✨️

I was chatting to a friend about this, asking the question 'what am I doing because I genuinely love it?'

Something I ask my clients regularly - what ACTUALLY brings you joy/lights you up/makes you happy/do you love?

And what are you doing because you think you should?

Most people think I love walking my dogs.

Do you know what though, I do love being outdoors, being with my dogs, being around nature, however, I actually find dog walking (and walking in general) a bit boring!

What I LOVE is teaching them tricks, doing activities together, making them think, watching them learn, seeing how happy it makes them which in turn makes me SO happy.
The by-product is they get exercise and mental stimulation and we all get out in nature.

I love climbing. Not because it's good exercise (although it is), because it's challenging, fun, rewarding, has a great community and fills me with joy. The by-product is getting fitter and stronger.

Sometimes we're so focused on what we should be doing (exercise, dog walking) that we forget to ask what we actually LOVE.

Tell me something you genuinely love, and is it in your life enough.

And maybe ponder, what are you doing because you think you should? 🤔

Is it Wednesday yet?! 🎶

This week inside my IGNITE programme, our special guest speaker is Nigel Clark - singer/songwriter from Dodgy.

We’re having an honest conversation around the healing power of music, staying motivated when life feels heavy, creativity, pressure, life on the road, and how to keep moving forward when your life is lifing!

This is SUCH a rare opportunity.

To sit in a small, intimate Zoom room, and ask questions directly to someone who’s spent decades writing music, performing, creating, navigating the music industry, life, pressure, success, setbacks - all of it. I cannot wait!

Nigel has some brilliant stories, huge insight, and such a grounded, genuine way of speaking about music, life and creativity.

The IGNITE crew have had some absolute TREATS in their programme 💜
