Part time Practice Nurse Vacancy

Due to expansion within our nursing team we are recruiting for a part time Practice Nurse to join our friendly team at Sonning Common Health Centre.

The vacancy is for 20-30 hours per week, Monday to Friday. Exact working patterns and hours will be discussed in interview. It is a diverse and interesting role working with an established nursing team and wider multidisciplinary team.

This is a varied clinical role for the successful candidate who will undertake a wide range of nursing duties including but not limited to:

Provide high quality evidence-based nursing care

Supporting GP clinics

Childhood and adult immunizations and other injections under Patient Group Directions

Provide wound management including both chronic and post-operative wounds

To carry out Health Checks in conjunction with national local and practice initiatives

Treatment room responsibilities

We seek an individual with excellent communication and IT skills, effective time management and prioritisation skills and with the ability to work well individually and as part of a team.

Part-time Patient Support Administrator Vacancy

Due to relocation, we are recruiting for a part-time Patient Support Administrator to join our GP practice team. The vacancy is for 20 hours per week over 4 days. The role will require you to work Wednesdays and Thursdays. Other days / hours to be discussed at interview.

We seek an individual who has strong administrative experience, excellent IT and communication skills and who is confident working individually and as part of a team. Previous experience of working for the NHS or working in a GP practice is desirable along with an understanding of clinical information however while this is desirable it isn’t required as training will be provided.

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join our GP practice team as a Dispenser. The vacancy is for 20-27.5 hours per week.

We are looking for an enthusiastic individual to join our dispensary team, supported by the Dispensary Manager. You will be ensuring the safe, timely and accurate prescribing and supply of medication, from the practice dispensary. The semi-rural practice serving just under 10,000 patients is well respected in the community.

We seek an individual who enjoys working in a busy environment, who can multitask, work independently and has an eye for detail. We require excellent communication skills given the expected patient contact and multiple specialised systems need a degree of IT literacy.

Previous experience working as a NVQ qualified dispenser is necessary, and thorough on the job training is provided to help any transition into primary care.

Part time Medical Receptionist vacancy

Due to relocation and interdepartmental movement, we are recruiting for 2 part time Medical Receptionists to join our Sonning Common Health Centre team.

The vacancy is for 20 hours per week. The role requires you to work a combination of morning and afternoon shifts along with working a Friday afternoon shift. You will also be required to work ad hoc cover shifts to cover sickness within the reception team.

We seek an individual who enjoys working in a busy environment, who can multitask and remain calm under pressure. Flexibility is essential due to you being required to provide cover for other staff within the team. Previous receptionist experience is desirable and experience of working for the NHS or working in a GP practice is also desirable. Thorough on the job training is provided.
