☀️ W e e k 5 ☀️

We had a gorgeous afternoon together for our final session.
The mums & babies had all met for lunch beforehand at the tea rooms down the road and I was able to join them too for a bit.

We had a full house so it was great to have a good catch up with everyone. We also shared some our best & worst bits of parenting advice.
Some of the parents also shared some of the hugely insensitive comments they had received when being at their most vulnerable. The support between the families in the group was just incredible & I am so pleased that they felt safe enough to speak so openly ❤️

The babies enjoyed a full body massage & as always, the session was baby led with no pressure for the parents to join in if their babies needed a nap, feed, cuddle or nappy change.

The little ones absolutely loved lying in a circle in their tummies together or sitting while they had their backs massaged.

The babies have changed so much during the 5 weeks; little thighs & cheeks have definitely become squishier & some of them are now rolling or preferring to sit or stand for their massages.
The massage strokes the parents have learnt during the course are really adaptable, and they have done brilliantly adjusting their strokes to allow their babies to be in their chosen position.

The parents are so tuned into recognising if their little ones were in the mood for a massage or whether they had another need that needed to be met.
All the parents now know too what their babies favourite body parts to be massaged are.

The parents made 2 gorgeous keepsakes with their babies.
We also had a love themed ‘ Love you to the moon & back ‘ photo mat - which was super cute 🌛🚀💫

I have loved seeing new friendships being made & this group had already had their first meet up earlier that week.

Everyone is invited back to my graduates group ☕️ Cuppa Club ☕️ which begins on Friday 12th June.
At Cuppa Club this group will join some of the families from my previous courses.

❤️ Thank you so much for being a fantastic group - it’s been a real joy spending time with you and your babies & sharing the wonderful gift of infant massage.

☀️ Week 4 of our Baby Massage course
How can it be week 5 this coming Friday already! Time flies so quickly when we are having such a special time together 😊

📸 We had Jade from The Little Lens Photography with us for the full session & she was able to capture some natural shots during the massage part of the session, as well as some more posed photos. We can't wait to see them!

This week, the parents learnt the massage strokes for the face & back. Babies can accumulate a lot of tension in their faces from teething, crying, sucking and generally interacting with the world, so the power of touch can be incredibly soothing.
The parents did just brilliantly and it was so cute seeing the babies lying on their tummies or sitting up looking around at each other whilst being massaged - the oxytocin was definitely flowing ❤️

We were going to recap the previous strokes too, but as some of the babies weren’t in the mood for a massage, just needed a snooze, feed or a cuddle, so we decided that was enough massage for today. As always, that was no problem as the session is completely baby led.

The parents & babies made their bee keepsakes and we had a 'cute as can 🐝 ' themed photo mat.
As it was a bit cooler this week, we had cookies & Clubs instead of ice cream.

We had some very sleepy & relaxed little ones by the end of the session.

I’m looking forward to seeing you all on Friday for our final session together ❤️

We had a full house & it was warm enough to have the french doors into the garden open again - makes all the difference!

We started with our usual catch up and shared some of our top recommendations & tips. We had some fabulous suggestions from fold up camping chairs for babies, to cook books & high chair toys!

We recapped most of the strokes from the previous sessions, then learnt the chest & arm massage strokes.
It really varies from week to week how much massage you will actually do with your baby in the session as it is completely baby led and we just go with how the babies are feeling at that time.
As it is a learning environment, you can then practice the strokes at home whenever your baby is in that perfect calm & alert state.

There was some beautiful connection between the parents and their babies, as well as that priceless gift that is mums supporting mums ❤️

After the babies had been massaged, their parents helped them make a gorgeous strawberry keepsake and took some adorable photos on the strawberry themed mat.
Its really special to be able capture these moments & milestones as the babies change and grow so quickly.

We still have 2 more wonderful sessions left before we complete the course - the weeks are flying by way too quickly!
For our fourth session, we will learn the massage strokes for the face & back.

I'm looking forward to seeing you all on Friday ❤️

The sun was beaming in for our baby massage session ( so much so that one of the babies needed sunglasses 😎).
It was the first time this year we've been able to have the french doors open too.

We had almost a full house and it was wonderful to have one of the dads join us ☺️

We had a lovely afternoon together & the babies enjoyed a tummy, feet & leg massage.
At one point, we put them all on their tummies in a circle so they could see each other , and even the babies who don't usually like tummy time really enjoyed it!
One of the babies learnt to roll over for the first time today, which was really special to see ❤️

The families made some super cute hungry caterpillar keepsakes and captured some adorable caterpillar photos 🐛
As it was warm, we had ice cream and cold drinks, such a treat!

At our next session we will be learning the massage strokes for the chest & arms.

If you're interested in joining us later this year, I'm afraid my next course in June - July is fully booked.
I do however have a few spaces left for the September to October & November to December massage courses.
Please message me or comment below if you would like me to send you more details ☺️

On Friday I welcomed 7 new mums & babies ,along with 1 returning mama with her 2nd babies to our April baby massage course.

The babies in this group range from a teeny 8 weeks to 7+ months , so a lovely wide range of ages - it really does vary from course to course.

After getting to know each other a bit and learning about some ‘top tips’ for Baby Massage, the families were shown how to massage their baby’s feet and legs.

The feet & legs are always the best part of the body to start with, as babies are usually used to their feet and legs being handled lots during nappy changes, getting dressed & bathtime.
Anyone who loves a foot massage themselves will know how relaxed it can make their whole body feel - we certainly had some very relaxed and sleepy babies afterwards.

The babies had their naps, feeds, cuddles & nappy changes whenever they needed throughout the class, its all very relaxed.

As it was the first week, the babies made some ‘ My first week at Baby Massage class’ butterflies which came out beautifully. By the end of the course, the families will have made 5 special keepsakes ❤️

As the sessions are 1.5 hours long, there is always plenty of time to enjoy a chat with the other families and have a hot or cold drink and a sweet treat.

I’m looking forward to this Friday where we will learn the massage strokes for the tummy, as well as a separate routine that can help with tummy discomfort such as colicky type pains & constipation.

We had a gorgeous afternoon together for our final session.
The babies enjoyed a full body massage & we went over everything we had done so far during the course.
As always the session was baby led with no pressure for the parents to join in if their babies needed a nap, feed, cuddle or nappy change.

The little ones absolutely loved lying in a circle in their tummies together while they had their backs massage.
By the end of the session we had some very sleepy & blissed out babies & some were so relaxed they fell asleep ❤️

All the parents now know too what their babies favourite body parts to be massaged are.

The parents made 2 gorgeous Easter themed keepsakes with their babies ( see previous post).
We also had a Easter & a love themed ‘ Love you to the moon & back ‘ photo mat - which was super cute 🌛🚀💫

I have loved seeing new friendships being made and parents reconnecting from their secondary school days!
This group are not wasting any time & are hoping to meet up after the Easter holidays.

Everyone is invited back to my graduates group ☕️ Cuppa Club ☕️ which begins on Friday 17th April.
At Cuppa Club this group will join some of the families from my previous courses.

❤️ Thank you so much for being a wonderful group - it’s been a real joy spending time with you and your babies & sharing the wonderful gift of infant massage.

The parents & babies made their Easter chick keepsakes and we had an Easter themed photo mat ( we are starting early this year 🐣)!
The chocolate biscuit selection went down a treat too with a nice cool drink or a cuppa.

I’m looking forward to seeing you all on Friday for our final session together ❤️

We had a smaller group due to illness this week, but hoping everyone is fit & well for our next session.

We started with our usual catch up and shared some of our top recommendations & tips We had some fabulous suggestions from the Nuby rapid cool to getting our older children to do a scavenger hunt while we were feeding the baby!

We recapped the strokes from the previous sessions, then learnt the chest & arm massage strokes.
