🌹 COULD THE SCENT OF ROSE ACTUALLY SUPPORT YOUR BRAIN? 🧠
What if something as simple as the scent of a rose could influence the way your brain responds?
A fascinating study explored what happened when women wore rose essential oil on their clothing consistently for 30 days. Brain scans showed changes in grey matter volume, particularly in areas involved in memory and emotional processing.
🌿 Why might scent have such a powerful effect?
Our sense of smell has a unique connection with the brain. Aromatic molecules are detected by the olfactory system, which communicates closely with areas involved in memory, emotions and behaviour.
With repeated exposure, scent may help reinforce neural pathways through a process known as neuroplasticity — the brain’s incredible ability to adapt and change.
And this is where it gets really interesting…
🌹 Our senses aren’t separate from our brains — they’re deeply connected.
The scents we surround ourselves with can become powerful anchors for memory, emotion, relaxation and wellbeing.
✨ Perhaps there’s more to your favourite scent than meets the nose…
