SOLARPUNK IS THE NEW PUNK 🎸🤘👨🎤
The old punk movement looked at a broken system and shouted:
"This isn't good enough."
Solarpunk looks at a world facing climate breakdown, inequality and uncertainty and says:
"Fine. We'll build something better." 🌎
Not with safety pins and anarchy (although we're not against a good safety pin and ‘interesting trousers), but with community gardens, repair cafés, renewable energy, local food, sustainable fashion, greener streets, wildlife recovery and neighbours who actually know each other.
Because the most rebellious thing you can do in cynical times is to be hopeful.
The most radical thing you can do when people say nothing can change is to start changing it.
That's why we love the Solarpunk movement. 💚
It's not about doom.
It's not about guilt.
It's about imagination, creativity, resilience and building the future we want to live in.
Here in Guisborough, that's exactly what we're trying to do through The Nest
Through workshops, talks, community projects and pop-up events, we're bringing people together to learn new skills, share ideas and create practical solutions for a fairer, greener future.

🌱 Imagine it.
🌱 Build it.
