Iโ€™m taking a short break, but donโ€™t worry, Reece has been fully briefed, caffeinated, and left in charge of the clinic ๐Ÿ˜„

So while I attempt to ignore emails and perfect the art of doing absolutely nothing, Osteopath Blackpool is still here to keep you moving. ๐Ÿ’ช

Most people in Redditch have never heard of osteopathy.

That is exactly why I am here.

In Australia it is as normal as seeing your GP. Back home, people are just putting up with pain they do not have to live with.

If you have been struggling with back pain, neck pain, a sports injury or just something that will not go away, this is where to start.

Book your assessment today.

At 16 I was doing hill sprints and pad work most days.
Then the hip and groin pain started. The kind that builds slowly and does not go away no matter how much you stretch or rest it.

I went to see an osteopath for the first time. And it changed everything. Not just symptom relief, a proper understanding of what was going on and why.

I walked out feeling different. That osteopath helped me massively.

I was 16, training every day, and I finally had an answer. That moment stayed with me.

We all know what it is like to be in pain and feel like nobody is actually listening. To be told to rest, to stretch, to wait and see. To modify everything you love doing and still not get better.

That experience is exactly why I became an osteopath. And it is exactly the kind of patient I want to help.
If that sounds like you

I would love to be the person who finds your answer.

When a patient tells you they wouldn't consider going anywhere else, that means everything.

Dan came in with a shoulder problem and a few other issues. We are still working through it together, but the progress speaks for itself.

This is what it is all about. Understanding the problem properly, building a plan around the person, and staying invested in the outcome from start to finish.

If you have something that has been hanging around, book your assessment.

Most people have a rough idea of what an osteopath does.
They think it's something to do with backs. Or bones. Or both.
It isn't quite either of those things.

Osteopathy is a whole-person approach to healthcare. We look at everything โ€” your joints, muscles, nerves, posture, history, and lifestyle โ€” and try to work out what is actually causing your problem, not just where it hurts. Where it hurts is often the last place you should be looking.

It is also a statutorily regulated profession. It is illegal to call yourself an osteopath without being registered with the General Osteopathic Council. The same way you cannot call yourself a physiotherapist or optometrist without the relevant registration. We are not alternative medicine. We are regulated healthcare.
We have a full plain-English guide on the website covering what osteopathy actually is, what we treat, and how it is regulated.
Worth a read if you have ever wondered ๐Ÿ‘‰

Dave came in thinking he had a pulled lower back.

Within minutes it was clear there was a lot more going on. His whole posterior chain was overworked and contributing to the pain โ€” not just one muscle, but a pattern that had built up over time.

A month later he is back in the gym and back at work.
This is what osteopathy does differently. We find the driver, not just the symptom.
If you are training around something and hoping it will go away โ€” book your assessment.

Something I see regularly in clinic.

A patient arrives having tried various approaches to manage their pain without the progress they were hoping for. Following a full osteopathic assessment, we identify contributing factors and begin working on them properly.

Osteopathy starts with a simple question. What is happening in this specific personโ€™s body, and why?

Booking is open at https://osteopath-redditch.uk3.cliniko.com/bookings
Individual results vary.

He did it. 4 hours and 3 minutes. Every step for his dad.

Connor Barker came to see us ahead of the London Marathon, running in memory of his dad who had planned to run this very race in 2015.

We were proud to offer our support in the build-up, and even prouder watching him cross that finish line yesterday.

He is raising money for Derwen College, a brilliant charity empowering young adults with SEND to live the lives they want. If his story has moved you, the donate link is below.

Every pound makes a difference. Please share this post if you can.

Picked up a paddle recently? Your body might not be as ready as your enthusiasm.

Paddle and pickleball are brilliant fun, but they place serious demands on joints and muscles that most people haven't conditioned for court sport. We're seeing more and more patients coming in with shoulder strain, elbow pain, lower back tightness, and knee problems directly linked to these sports.

The good news is that most of these injuries respond well to osteopathic treatment. Most patients are back on court within two to three sessions.

Don't wait until it stops you playing. Book an assessment at Osteopath Redditch and get back to the game properly.

Does your body feel different on the days when life feels a bit heavier?

Stress doesnโ€™t just stay in your mind โ€” it can quietly shift your breathing, posture and muscle tension. Over time, that can make your neck, shoulders or upper back feel tight, achy or tired.

If your body has been asking for a reset, a check-in, or a bit of guided support, Iโ€™m here to help you understand whatโ€™s going on and explore ways to move with more ease again.

You can check my availability anytime โ€” just tap the button when it appears.
