Behind Adonis, there’s a story I don’t share very often. 🦋
When my mum passed away, she left me some money. I’d give it all back in a heartbeat to have her here, but that money gave me the chance to train as a piercer, and unknowingly changed the direction of my life.
After we lost her, my daughter told me “Granny has gone to be a blue butterfly.”
That stayed with me. And when I discovered the Adonis Blue butterfly, the name just felt right.
I started out renting a chair in a beauty salon, then came the caravan, a little shop… and now, Adonis Studios.
I genuinely love what I do. Not just piercing, but creating a place where people feel comfortable, where my team can grow, where other small businesses are supported and where people are given opportunities.
I know what it feels like to start with very little and just hope someone believes in you, so I’ll always try to be that person for someone else.
Sometimes I look around the studio and think about how all of this started.
Something beautiful grew from one of the hardest times of my life.
And I think Mum would be pretty proud of what her blue butterfly became. 🦋
I just wanted to share my story and let you know a little more about the person behind the business.
