There is nothing like a peaceful week in North Cornwall. There are places of powerful presence set with sacred earth energy and ancient places of worship woven together that create a wonderous refreshing sense of peace. Here's to time in nature and Genius Loci (spirit of place) at Saint Juliotts and the wonderful old abbey and healing springs of Saint Materianas, Boscastle inland.

Giving thanks at the Autumn Equinox with a nature mandela. Land and nature blessing is a way to give a useful gift of bird food, seeds, nuts and foraged berries and its fun to do. Wishing you the centering power of the equinox!

Even though this gateway is a folly it is built on the site of an early settlement and castle. It's position is a natural high point surrounded by centuries old trees, huge Sequoia (Red Wood), Cedar of Lebonon, White Cedars and Oaks, but the town curves around and encloses this beautiful nested ancient site and we even drive past and forget it exists. A great site to dowse, connect with nature and find hidden cellars and caves.

Dowsing makes a bridge between our intuition and subconscious mind and we use a pendulum or rods like an amplifier to access our sixth sense. You don’t need to spend a small fortune on fancy dowsing kit, and it only takes a few minutes, so here’s how to get making.
