What a fun week we have just had...I am going to officially call it Tomato Week!!

A grand total of 75 tomato plants now have new homes...the instructions were...

Grow a Tomato Plant - Just like growing a healthy body!

A healthy body needs water, good food, sunlight, and love - and guess what? Your tomato plant needs the same things! Taking care of your tomato plant is like taking care of yourself!

How to care for your tomato plant:

• Place in a sunny spot—just like your body, it thrives with good light.
• Water regularly—hydration helps everything function at its best.
• Give it space to grow—no restriction, just like a well-aligned spine.
• As it grows, gently tie it to a cane or stake for support.
• You may need to make a few little “adjustments” along the way—remove side shoots to increase your yield.
• Feed occasionally with plant food.
• Check in on it often, maybe even talk to it and enjoy watching it thrive 🌱

Please share pictures of your growing plants, and your delicious recipes you create with them!

Enjoy!

I have invited the wondeeful Anna .mindful.transformations back for a very needed workshop -

'How not to burn out when being a Mum in demand 24/7'.

I feel this talk is so important I have made it complimentary for all Thrive Family Chiropractic patients! 🫶 Pleade use the voucher code 'Welcome100'. If you are not a current patient that is absolutely fine, please do join, it will be wonderful to offer this talk to as many people as possible!

A little more about the workshop:

Being a mum often means giving endlessly. But when you run on empty for too long, burnout may be closer than you think.

This workshop is your chance to pause, reconnect with yourself, and learn simple, realistic tools that actually fit into a mum’s busy life.

We will explore together:

🌿Why mums burn out - the hidden pressure, emotional load, and constant “on call” state,

🌿 How to recognise early signs of burnout before they become overwhelming,

🌿 The nervous system, and stress cycle - how how we break it in everyday life,

🌿 Simple calming/grounding technique you can use in just 60 seconds,

🌿 How to create micro-moments of recovery (even if you have kids demanding your attention non-stop),

🌿 How to set gentle boundaries without guilt,

🌿 A 5-minute guided reset you can repeat at home.

Babies and toddlers are more than welcome to join!

I personally can't wait!

See you there!

I had a patient ask me last week "when is the best time to get adjusted"? and this sparked a great conversation (and a new black board design for this week!

So when is the best time to get adjusted?

Yes, chiropractic care can be very effective for pain relief but very much like self care...

We don't wait until we are burnt out to rest.
We don't wait until we are dehydrated to drink water.
We don't exercise just to fix the problem.
We don't wait for our car to break down before servicing it.

The goal isn't just to feel better
The goal is to function better, for longer.

So here is your little reminder today:

Don't wait until you are running on empty!

How do you keep your "battery" topped up? Let me know in the comments 👇

Workshop: Birth Biomechanics - Work with your body, not against it with led by

When: Wednesday 27th May 7 pm - 8.30 pm

Where: At Thrive Family Chiropractic Studio

Who: Suitable from 14+ weeks of pregnancy. Partners are welcome as well.

Book: online a www.thrivefamilychiro.co.uk (see link above)

I couldn't be anymore more excited about our up and coming Birth Biomechanics Workshop. Led by Federica Rossetto, a birth and postpartum doula as well as a prenatal and postnatal yoga teacher, this session blends hands-on experience, real-life birth support, and a deep understanding of how bodies move...not just theory!

Federica supports people through pregnancy, birth and the early postnatal period, and her work is rooted in one thing: helping you feel more connected to your body, not more controlled by external advice.

You’ll learn how your pelvis actually moves, how your baby navigates through it, and what you can do to make that process smoother, more spacious, and often more comfortable.

Not by forcing anything. Not by getting it “right”.
But by understanding what’s happening and responding in a way that makes sense.

We’ll cover:

What’s really going on inside your pelvis during birth
Why baby’s position matters (and what influences it more than you think)
The everyday habits that can either help or hinder things
How to create more space instead of more tension
Positions that support birth: not just ones you’ve been told to hold
How your birth partner can be genuinely useful (on top of hand squeezing)
No scripts. No “good patient” behaviour.
Just practical tools, body awareness, and real options.

Any questions just DM me!

See you there!!

We’ve been talking a lot about capacity this week — and it raises an important question: why does someone “feel fine”… and then suddenly their back goes when they bend, reach, or twist?

It’s rarely as random as it seems.

Your nervous system is your body’s master control system. It’s constantly adapting to load, posture, stress, and movement demands — often long before you feel pain.

The body is brilliant at compensating. But when spinal joints become restricted or overloaded, it can affect how efficiently your nervous system communicates and coordinates movement. Over time, this can reduce your overall capacity to handle everyday life.

Then one simple movement becomes the tipping point — not the cause, but the moment your system can no longer compensate.

This is where chiropractic care can play a role — helping to improve spinal motion, reduce dysfunction, and support how your nervous system adapts and functions.

Don’t wait for your body to force you to pay attention.
Build capacity earlier. Support your nervous system. Move, function, and live with more resilience.

See you at your next check up!
