I'm collaborating with to bring together the beautiful, soft, heart-opening medicine of cacao with the gentle power of breathwork.

As a woman walking through the world, I often find myself armoured up and in a defensive state, in a place of physical contraction. If you've breathed with me before, you'll know I speak to this physical tension all the time.

Sometimes it's necessary to be in a protective state in order to be safe and to protect my energy and my integrity. This means that it's also necessary to give myself an opportunity to release that contraction and to let the tension leave my body.
Cacao and breathwork combine to support this release in such a beautiful way - the quiet power of heart opening cacao and the gentle insistence of the breath - combined to invite you into release and presence.

Come and collaborate with us, be in community and connection and be held as you give yourself permission to soften.

Online: Friday 17th April, 6pm–8:30pm via Zoom
In person: Sunday 19th April, 3pm-7pm in the beautiful yurt at Garden of Alchemy, Isfield

For the online session you'll need your own ceremonial-grade cacao. You can buy from The Garden of Alchemy shop (along with instructions for how to make it) or from another trusted supplier.

Monthly Breathwork Immersion ✨

Join me this Sunday 29th March at 7pm for 90 minutes of breathing, landing, and simply being present.

We'll begin with an embodiment meditation, then move into 50 minutes of conscious connected breathing - breathing new life and energy into our bodies, gently pulling our focus back from the future and the plans we might be making, to join our bodies here, in the now.

No striving. No fixing. Just presence with whatever is here.

These sessions happen on the last Sunday of every month - a space to return to yourself, again and again.

Online via Zoom | £15

I have 2 dance modes; overly and unnecessarily stripper-ish or like a person being repeatedly struck by lightening. I can find no middle ground 😂🙄

Regardless of which vibe I'm choosing, morning movement and some universe inspired tunes changes my mood. The movement takes me out of my ruminating mind and puts me back in my body, where I belong.

If I'm having a particularly s**t start to the day, I'll then often do a short 15 minute breath hold and mediation practice (3 x gradually increasing breath holds separated by 30 breaths - I don't hold my breath for 15 minutes!!)

If you notice your nervous system is activated first thing in the morning, give it a try.

Hit me up if you want the playlist or the breath hold practice.

Dance friends, and hope no one is watching 😂👀💃🤞

How many did you manage?

I'd heard this was a marker of your nervous system state and I had to test it. I've been obsessively testing it all week, truth be told! Once, easily. Twice, sometimes. Three times? Only when I was genuinely relaxed.

The science behind it is real. Swallowing is controlled by the vagus nerve and saliva production is driven by your parasympathetic nervous system. When you're active and focused, your sympathetic system is online. Less saliva, harder to swallow. Not a problem. Just your body doing its job.

The version of this that's been going around, frames it as something being wrong with you if you can't hit three.

I'd push back on that. It's not a verdict. It's a snapshot.

Try it now. Then take five slow breaths and try again.

Tell me in the comments, did anything change?

Join me for a deep immersion as we close out the Year of the Wood Snake 🐍

This Thursday and Sunday, we gather for our final breathwork sessions of the Wood Snake year. A space to pause, release and honour what you're setting down as we step into Horse energy.

These 90-minute sessions (15 minute breathing meditation + 50 minute breathwork + integration + optional sharing circle) aren't about forcing transformation. They're about creating space for the grief of letting go, for the exhale that comes before something new can arrive.

If you've been holding more than you need to carry into this next chapter, this is your invitation to put it down.

Online Sessions:
Thu 15th Feb, 7pm GMT / 2pm EST
Sun 15th Feb, 7pm GMT / 2pm EST
In-Person at VeryYoga Reigate Studio
Sun 15th Feb, 10:30am

It's been a year of holding a lot, collectively and personally. Right now, I feel that I'm in this strange liminal space where something wants to complete but I'm not quite there yet.

The Year of the Wood Snake ends on Feb 17th and one of its final lessons is learning how to let go. Not just mentally deciding to move on, but actually allowing our bodies to release what we've been carrying and are ready to set down.

When things die or are lost to us, we need space to grieve those losses, to allow grief to move through us rather than remaining trapped in our bodies. The lungs are one of the places where we process grief so it makes a lot of sense to invite the breath to support our grieving and letting go.

So, I've created space for this - a 90 minute breathwork immersion to soften into what's ready to be set down before Fire Horse energy arrives with it's fast moving momentum.

This isn't about forcing release or processing trauma. It's simpler: grief needs to move through the body. When we honour it, when we let it be fully felt, we deepen our capacity for compassion.

90 min ONLINE SESSIONS: 📅Thursday 12th February, 7pm GMT / 2pm EST 📅 Sunday 15th February, 7pm GMT / 2pm EST

Never done breathwork? That's fine. It's fully guided. All you need is somewhere to lie down undisturbed for 90 minutes.

Rest is not laziness. How do we begin to not just hear what our bodies tell, but then trust the message and respond accordingly?
