If this doesn't happen, your safety is at risk; you and they can't guarantee what is being injected, or if the injector is actually insured for undertaking the procedure.

My patient came to me with a few small migrated lip filler lumps and residual filler that had not fully resolved after a dissolve procedure from a non-medical practitioner.

The filler previously used was pretty stubborn, but we managed to dissolve it and after waiting for a couple of weeks to settle, we got to work creating a new smile.

As we age, our faces naturally lose volume, our facial bones lose density (causing shrinkage) and skin loses elasticity, leading to wrinkles and fine lines.

My patient and I have been working together for a while and after discussing different treatments, she decided now was the time to address her thinning lips.

Her goal (and mine) was to achieve subtle volume and definition to restore her confidence and improve the appearance of her lips.

The immediate results will settle within 2-4 weeks, swelling will subside and the final lip size will be around 15-20% smaller than pictured.

Lips lose volume and definition with age. Why?
