🌟 Join Our Team at St David’s! 🌟

We’re looking for a friendly, skilled, and energetic Maintenance Person to help keep our home safe, welcoming, and comfortable for our residents.

💼 Hours & Pay:

30–40 hrs/week (with extra to cover absences)
£13–£14/hr (negotiable for the right candidate)

🛠 What You’ll Do:

Keep the home and grounds in top shape
Maintain heating, lighting, plumbing, electrical systems, and more
Assist with refurbishments, decorating, and longer-term projects
Carry out fire & safety checks
Work with contractors and support new staff with inductions

✅ We’d love to hear from you if you have:

Experience in maintenance, plumbing, decorating, or DIY skills
A flexible, creative approach to problem-solving
Strong communication skills and a good sense of humour
Understanding of health & safety and working with older people
Full clean driving licence

🐣💛 Easter Egg Appeal – Please Help Us Spread Some Easter Cheer! 💛🐣

At St Davids we are hoping to make Easter a little brighter for our wonderful residents, and we would love our community’s help.

We are asking if anyone would be kind enough to donate an Easter egg or small Easter treats so that every resident can enjoy a little surprise over the Easter weekend. 🍫🐰

For some of our residents, visits can be limited, so thoughtful gestures from the community mean the world and truly bring smiles to their faces.

If you would like to support our Easter Egg Appeal, donations can be dropped off at St Davids Residential Home reception.

St Patrick’s Day Celebrations ☘️🇮🇪

We had a fantastic time yesterday celebrating St Patrick’s Day, with plenty of smiles, laughter, and a wonderful atmosphere throughout the home ☘️

Residents and staff enjoyed getting into the spirit of the day with some Guinness, and we even had a bit of fun making mini Guinness drinks, which went down very well! 🍻

The celebrations continued with a lively Irish quiz, where everyone had the chance to test their knowledge, share stories, and enjoy some friendly competition. It was lovely to see everyone joining in, reminiscing, and having a good laugh together 😊

Days like these are so special, bringing people together and creating meaningful moments for all ❤️

🌷 Celebrating Our Wonderful Residents on Mother’s Day 🌷

Yesterday at St Davids, we had the joy of celebrating all the amazing mothers in our community. 🙏

Our residents were treated to a delightful afternoon tea spread, complete with a beautiful cake, a little sparkle with some bubbles, and a pamper station to make them feel truly special. 💕

It was a lovely afternoon filled with laughter, smiles, and a lot of love, a perfect way to honour the incredible women in our lives. Thank you to everyone who helped make this day so memorable! 🌸

A Belated Valentine’s Thank You 💝

Although Valentine’s Day has passed, we wanted to share a special thank you for a lovely surprise our residents received! 🙏

One of our staff member’s nieces kindly created these beautiful handmade Valentine’s pictures and messages especially for them. Each one was filled with colourful drawings, handprints, and sweet notes of love that brightened the whole home. 💌

Our residents really enjoyed looking at them and chatting about their favourites. Simple, thoughtful gestures like this mean so much and bring plenty of smiles.😁

🍫 Sweet Treats & Smiles at St David’s 🍫

Our residents had a wonderful afternoon recently, getting creative in the kitchen making chocolate crispy cakes. There was lots of laughter, mixing, and of course a little bit of chocolatey mess along the way! ❤🍫

Activities like this are a lovely way for everyone to spend time together, share memories of baking, and enjoy a delicious treat at the end. Well done to everyone who joined in, they looked absolutely delicious! 👩‍🍳
