For those of you who have been wondering why I have been rather quiet of late...

Over the last three months I have been away from the ‘treatment room’ after sustaining an injury. It has been an unexpected period of rest, reflection, and learning to listen to my own body in the same way I encourage my clients to listen to their own. A stark reminder to practice what I preach!

During this time, I have realised that I can no longer sustainably offer the full-body massage treatments that have been part of Geranium Moon since the beginning.

This wasn't an easy decision. I know many of you have trusted me with your care over the years I relocated my business to Hertfordshire, and I will always be truly grateful for your support, loyalty, and the connections we have made.

What has become clearer to me in this period of reflection though, is that the heart of Geranium Moon Mobile Massage has never been about one particular treatment. It has always been about creating a space where women can slow down, feel safe, reconnect with themselves, and give their nervous systems permission to rest.

That mission is not changing.

Instead, I am evolving into a practice that feels deeply aligned with both my holistic values and what my body can sustainably offer.

From now on, I will be offering the following treatments:

- FLOWER MOON Bespoke Aromatherapy Consultations
- ONLINE & IN-PERSON Tarot Readings

While this chapter looks different from the last, my intention remains exactly the same: to support women in finding moments of stillness, release, and trust in themselves.

Thank you for being here, whether you have been with me from the beginning or have only just discovered me. Your support has meant more than you know, and I'm so excited to welcome you into this next chapter…

ESSENTIAL OILS SPOTLIGHT

Once a month I feature an essential oil on my page and share the properties that the oil is known for, as well as its common uses.

This month we'll be looking at... Clary Sage!

Steam distilled from the flowering tops and leaves of the plant, Clary Sage is a heady, potent middle note aroma known for it's natural oestrogenic mimicking properties.

This makes it an ideal oil for hormonal imbalance, balancing periods, per-menopause and menopausal symptoms, depending on the individual.

The oestrogen dominant ladies amongst us - for example women with endometriosis, PCOS or prone to fibroids - will be more hesitant to use Clary Sage for this reason, though there are studies that show it helps balance excess oestrogen instead of solely increase it. Therefore whenever I use Clary Sage in a blend, I use it with care and caution, and we closely follow your reaction to the blend over time. Every woman is different and responds differently to different oils and their properties. This is why treatments are always tailored to you and your specific needs which we discuss at the oil selecting consultation at the start of each session.

Clary Sage is anti-fungal, so can be used for skin fungal conditions such as athlete's foot, yeast infections and ringworm, as well as eye infections. The skin benefitting properties don't stop there, as Clary Sage has regenerative effects on mature skin.

Emotionally it is known to be a major euphoric and raises low mood, as well as having the ability to soothe a racing mind - so a good solution for insomnia and nervous fatigue for menopausal women.

ESSENTIAL OILS SPOTLIGHT

I will be continuing to share the beauty and wisdom that is essential oils and their amazing benefits this year, as it feels important to me to spread the word on how much of an impact these oils can have on the mind and body.

This month we'll be looking at... Cypress!

January is now behind us, and yet the grey skies, rainy weather and chilly temperature of winter persist. This can be disheartening for many, and so I wanted to spotlight Cypress for it’s emotional benefits.

Steam distilled from the leaves, needle, and cones of the cypress tree, Cypress has deep base notes that mean the aroma persists, which is why, like other wood-based oils, I is used in candle-making.

The emotional aspects of Cypress are amazing – it is an incredibly grounding oil, giving strength to the user. It is particularly good for clients who have a lot going on in their lives, and so arrive feeling teary and emotionally overwhelmed. This makes it a great pairing with marjoram for supporting the process of grief and loss.

Cypress is an astringent essential oil, meaning that it has a shrinking effect on the body’s systems – narrowing blood vessels to ease heavy bleeding in periods, and easing varicose veins for example. This also makes it a natural deodorant by keeping excess sweating under control.

As well as this, Cypress is hormonally supportive for the menstrual cycle and can help to regulate menstrual, hormonal and peri-menopausal problems.

I like to blend Cypress with cituses such as Bergamot and Sweet Orange, as well as herbs like Clary Sage, Lavender, and Rosemary, but we always create a blend together that focuses on your individual needs, wants and desires.

(Please note that Cypress is a natural diuretic so like most essential oils, must be avoided during pregnancy.)
