We’re not talking enough about this… 🤍

Menopause is not happening in the same bodies it used to.

And that matters.

Many women today are entering perimenopause already:
• running on stress hormones 😮‍💨
• sleeping poorly for years 🌙
• overextending themselves daily 🫠
• surviving in constant “go mode” ⚡️

So when menopause begins…
the system isn’t starting from neutral.

Here’s what often gets missed 👇

After menopause, the adrenal glands help support oestrogen production as the ovaries begin to step back.

But if those adrenals have been under pressure for years…
the transition can feel very different.

Not because the body is failing…
but because it’s been carrying too much for too long.

So what actually helps? 🌿

• more nervous system calm in everyday life 🚶‍♀️
• prioritising deep, non-negotiable sleep 💤
• fuelling the body properly (not just caffeine and sugar) 🥗

Menopause doesn’t start at menopause.
It starts years before.

And how we care for ourselves in our 30s and 40s matters more than most of us were ever told 🤍

Save this if it reframes things for you 📌

Digestive health plays a key role in how we feel day to day, from energy levels to skin and overall wellbeing.

With World Digestive Health Day coming up tomorrow, it’s a good reminder to pay attention to the smaller signs the body may be giving.

Bloating, discomfort after eating, low energy or skin flare-ups are often overlooked, but they can indicate that the digestive system may need more support.

Understanding these patterns is often the first step towards improving overall health.

Most women are told that menopause means your oestrogen simply disappears… but that’s not entirely true 👀

As ovarian oestrogen hormone production gradually declines during peri-menopause and menopause, the adrenal glands step in to help produce small amounts of oestrogen too.

Which means adrenal health matters more than many women realise ⚡️

If your body is already running on stress hormones, poor sleep, exhaustion, over-exercising, or burnout… this transition can feel even harder.

Your adrenal glands are involved in:
✨ Stress response
✨ Cortisol production
✨ Energy levels
✨ Blood sugar balance
✨ Hormonal adaptation during menopause

So supporting them is key 🩷

Some simple ways to help support adrenal health:
🌿 Prioritise sleep & recovery
🥚 Eat enough protein
🧘‍♀️ Calm the nervous system
🚶‍♀️ Choose gentle movement over constant intensity
🍽️ Balance blood sugar
💧 Replenish minerals & hydration
🤍 Stop pushing through exhaustion

Menopause is not just about the ovaries.
It’s about the whole endocrine system working together.

Difficulty focusing isn’t always about discipline, motivation or “trying harder.”

For some people, the brain is constantly seeking stimulation, urgency or dopamine-driven reward just to feel regulated and engaged.

This can show up as procrastination, restlessness, impulsivity, hyperfocus or difficulty switching off.

In practice, these patterns are always individual, which is why understanding the wider picture matters so much.

Women are not designed to function the same way every single day - and get so many of us have spent years trying to live that way.
Men’s hormones generally operate on a 24-hour cycle, meaning their hormonal rhythm resets daily. Women, however, operate on an approximately monthly cycle, with shifts in oestrogen and progesterone influencing our energy, focus, emotions, motivation, communication, and even how social or inward we may feel.

Once I understood this, I stopped figuring my body and started working with it instead.

I now plan my life around my cycle:
🩸Resting and restoring during my bleed
🌸Planning, creating, and taking action in my Follicular phase
🍒Showing up socially and professionally around ovulation
🍁Becoming more intentional and protective of my energy in my Luteal phase

And the difference has been profound.

I genuinely feel like I get more done this way - not less.
Because I’m no longer forcing high output during phases where my body is asking for slowness and restoration.

The advantages of living cyclically can be huge:
✨Better energy management
✨Less burnout and overwhelm
✨Improved self-awareness
✨Better boundaries
✨More aligned productivity
✨Deeper connection with yourself
✨Reduced guilt around needing rest
✨Greater appreciation for the strengths within each phase

Instead of constantly pushing, there’s more flow, rhythm, and sustainability.

There’s also something deeper happening physiologically. As women move toward menopause and the ovaries gradually reduce oestrogen production, the adrenal glands help take over part of that role - although at a much lower output. Supporting the body, reducing chronic stress, and living in a way that honours our hormonal rhythms may become increasingly important for long-term wellbeing.
Your cycle is not an inconvenience.
It’s information.
And when you learn how to listen to it, everything can begin to change🤍

Have you ever noticed how differently you feel throughout your cycle? Let me know which phase youre currently in and how it feels for you👇🏼

Allium Cepa is a remedy often considered during hayfever season, particularly when symptoms are intense and irritating.

It is typically associated with streaming nasal discharge, frequent sneezing and a burning sensation, especially when symptoms are worse in warm environments and improve in fresh air.

In homeopathy, remedies are selected based on the individual pattern of symptoms rather than the condition alone, which is why professional guidance is important.

Good health is often misunderstood.

It’s not just about the absence of symptoms, but how the body functions consistently over time, energy, sleep, digestion, emotional balance and resilience all play a role.

These patterns can give a much clearer picture of overall health than isolated symptoms alone.

In homeopathy, we look at these patterns as a whole, rather than focusing on one issue in isolation.

It doesn’t overwhelm the body.

It works with it.

Mental overload doesn’t always feel obvious.

It can show up as difficulty concentrating, forgetfulness, disrupted sleep or simply feeling overwhelmed by things that would usually feel manageable.

During busy periods, such as exams or increased responsibilities, the mind and body can struggle to keep up if there isn’t enough time to recover.

Recognising these early signs is often the first step towards supporting the body more effectively.

Exam periods can place a significant demand on both the mind and body.

While some students feel anxious or overwhelmed, others may feel fatigued, distracted or mentally blocked.

In homeopathy, remedies are selected based on the individual pattern of symptoms rather than the situation alone.

While there are remedies commonly considered during exam periods, it’s important that they are chosen carefully and appropriately.
