Meet Dave Thomas, our First Aid Trainer 👋

When Dave isn't teaching first aid, he's out riding his motorbike across the UK or cheering on Leeds Rhinos. He's also been a volunteer first responder with NWAS for 14 years — so when he teaches first aid, it comes from real experience, not just a textbook.

His favourite part of the job? "No two courses ever run the same" — every group brings different people, cultures and stories.

Most of us would freeze if someone collapsed in front of us. Not because we don't care, but because nobody's ever taught us what to do.

A couple of days on a first aid course sorts that. We've been running them in Rochdale for over 60 years now.
