Meadows Psychology Service were delighted to be invited to attend and present at the Warwickshire Foster and Kinship Carer Conference on Friday.
As part of our ongoing partnership with Warwickshire, Meadows Psychology Service are commissioned to deliver psychological and therapeutic support services for Warwickshire’s residential children’s homes and foster carers. It was therefore a privilege to spend the day alongside such a dedicated and compassionate group of carers and professionals.
Our Consultant Clinical Psychologist, Elise Stephen, and Deputy Service Lead, Lizzie Smith, spent the day meeting foster carers, kinship carers, and social workers, alongside delivering two workshops focused on trauma-informed care and the importance of supporting those who care for others every day.
A huge thank you to Warwickshire for the invitation and to everyone who attended, contributed, and shared reflections throughout the day.

This year’s theme, “This Is My Place,” highlights the importance of safety, belonging, and connection in supporting children’s wellbeing. At MPS, these values sit at the heart of our work and are reflected in our PACE parenting approach, using Playfulness, Acceptance, Curiosity and Empathy to help children feel seen, safe, and understood.

This quote shows how MPS PACE training has impacted a foster carer who took part.
