A (often called a “Hollywood Peel”) is basically a deep clean + gentle resurfacing using carbon lotion and a laser. It sounds intense, but it’s actually pretty chill 👌
Here’s how it goes, step by step:
1. Carbon lotion goes on
A thin layer of liquid carbon is applied to your face. It sinks into pores and binds to oil, dead skin, and debris.
2. Laser pass #1 (warming phase)
The laser is passed over the skin at a low setting to gently heat things up. This helps the carbon settle deeper and starts stimulating collagen.
3. Laser pass #2 (the fun crackly part)
The laser targets the carbon, causing tiny “pops” as it vaporizes.
When the carbon explodes, it takes oil, dead skin cells, bacteria, and pore gunk with it.
4. Light resurfacing + tightening
As the carbon is removed, the laser:
Exfoliates the surface
Refines pores
Calms acne-causing bacteria
Gives a mild tightening effect
What it feels like
Warmth + little snapping sensations (like a rubber band, but mild)
No numbing needed
Usually 20–30 minutes total
Afterward
Skin looks instantly brighter and smoother
Pores appear smaller
Makeup goes on beautifully
Very little to no downtime (maybe slight redness for an hour or two)
Best for
Oily or congested skin
Enlarged pores
Acne or blackheads
Dull, uneven texture
Fine lines
