Hello all, 🌼
It has been a busy spring for Clear Skies Counselling and for myself personally whilst I am on my own learning journey with further study. 🎓🌱
With life being so busy for us all, we as humans can often forget to stop once in a while and take in the beauty around us, whether this being places or the people we hold dear to us. I too, am guilty of not getting off the 'fast train' and often missing my 'metaphorical stop' from time to time. 🚂 ‼️
I hope this helps as a reminder to pause for a moment and value your own needs, as I often hear from clients and the people in my life that they tend to be 'at the bottom of their own list!'
The month of May is a pinnacle month for new beginnings, brighter days, and optimism. ✨️
As we move into May, here are a few ways to honor that metaphorical stop I mentioned;
1, The Micro-Pause: If a full day of rest isn't possible, finding three minutes to simply breathe and notice the temperature of the air or the sound of the birds can reset the nervous system.
2, Boundaries as self-care: Reminding ourselves that "No" to an external demand is often a "Yes" to our own mental clarity.
3, Embracing the Season: Taking five minutes to physically step into the May sunshine and letting the brighter days actually touch your skin.
