VOLUNTEERS NEEDED – HELP US LOOK AFTER OUR 40 ACRES!

Trewen Meadows Riding for the Disabled has 40 acres of beautiful countryside to look after — and we need your help! 💚

We’re looking for volunteers who enjoy being outdoors and would be happy to lend a hand with land management and general maintenance.

There are always jobs to be done, from keeping paths and hedges under control to maintaining fences, clearing areas, managing the grounds and helping us keep our land safe, tidy and welcoming for our riders, horses and visitors.

You don’t need to be an expert — just a willingness to get stuck in, enjoy the outdoors and be part of a friendly team.

Whether you can spare a regular day, an occasional few hours or simply want to help when you can, we’d love to hear from you!

RDA Virtual Championships – Looking Back!

It’s wonderful to look back at the fantastic achievements of our participants and remember all the hard work, smiles and proud moments along the way.

The 2026 Virtual Championships take place in November, with entries closing in October, and we’re already busy preparing our riders for this year’s competition.

A virtual competition takes just as much preparation, practice and dedication as the RDA National Championships — and we’re so excited to see what our participants can achieve this year!

We are incredibly proud to have nominated our Chair of Trustees, David Harding, for the BBC Hereford and Worcester Fundraiser Award!

At Trewen Meadows Riding for the Disabled, David played a vital role in helping to plan and build our new Riding for the Disabled centre in Herefordshire. At one stage, the project faced a funding gap of £1.2 million, and its future was uncertain.

In just nine months, David led and project-managed a fundraising campaign that successfully closed the entire gap.

Raising £1.2 million in such a short period of time is an extraordinary achievement — made even more remarkable because David carried out this incredible work entirely as a volunteer, dedicating countless hours of his time, energy and expertise without remuneration.

Thanks to David’s leadership and determination, what once seemed like an insurmountable challenge has become a lasting legacy that will benefit so many people for years to come.

The award night takes place in September, and we will have everything crossed for David! 🤞

Good luck, David — everyone at Trewen Meadows Riding for the Disabled is incredibly proud of you and everything you have achieved.

🐾 Our First Ever Summer Fair with Dog Show at Trewen Meadows! 🐾

What a fantastic day we had at our very first dog show! Thank you so much to everyone who came along, entered their dogs, supported the event and helped make it such a lovely day.

A huge thank you to everyone who came along to our Summer Fair on Saturday!** We had such a fantastic time, and thanks to your amazing support, we raised over £1,500!
