💜ME AWARENESS WEEK💜

ME/CFS is a complex multisystem disease involving the brain, muscle, immune and neuroendocrine systems with a wide range of disabling symptoms.

ME/CFS is a long-term illness that causes substantial disability, causing an inability to perform everyday activities of daily living (bathing, dressing, cooking, eating etc).

There is currently no cure or effective treatment for the disease. Pacing, activity and energy management can help some to stabilise symptoms.

For this years mental health awareness week theme, Action have been chosen. While awareness is vital, real change comes when we take action too. Together, we’ve come a long way on mental health, but we can’t risk going backwards. There’s still much we can do to prevent people becoming unwell in the first place.
