Medical Receptionist Vacancies (21 Hours & 16 Hours per Week)
Dearne Valley Group Practice is looking to recruit two friendly, professional and enthusiastic Medical Receptionists to join our busy GP practice team.
We currently have the following vacancies available:
• Medical Receptionist – 21 hours per week
• Medical Receptionist – 16 hours per week
About the Role
As the first point of contact for patients, you will play a vital role in delivering excellent customer service and ensuring the smooth running of our reception team. Duties will include:
• Greeting patients and visitors
• Managing telephone enquiries
• Booking and amending appointments
• Processing patient requests and registrations
• Handling repeat prescription requests
• Managing incoming and outgoing correspondence
• Providing administrative support to the wider practice team
• Maintaining patient confidentiality at all times
About You
We are looking for candidates who:
• Have excellent communication and customer service skills
• Are confident using computer systems and learning new software
• Can work effectively in a busy, fast-paced environment
• Are organised, reliable and able to prioritise workload
• Work well both independently and as part of a team
• Have a positive and caring approach when dealing with patients
Previous experience in a GP practice is desirable but not essential.
Experience of using SystmOne is preferred but not essential, as full training will be provided for the right candidates.
