COTTON BUDS....
You probably know that you shouldn't use them..
but you still do, because you want your ears to be clean....right? Well here are the facts....
ear wax is normal and it's healthy to have some ear wax, it has a function and your body can usually remove excess wax naturally.
Sticking a cotton bud (or other object) in your ear actually pushes the ear wax further down the ear canal towards the ear drum...when this happens the wax gets stuck.
It can also cause ear drum perforation (a hole in your ear drum) this is painful and can sometimes be permanent or require surgery to close the hole up.
Finally, the cotton wool can come off the cotton bud and get stuck in your ear!

This is what happened to my client who had used cotton buds for years, when I removed the cotton bud she had no wax in her ear so risking all of these things unnecessarily.

Just thought I'd reshare this for my new follower who might not know me or about my business.

ITS BEEN A YEAR!!

It's been a year since I started setting up waxxaway, it's been a long slog as in order to do things legally and safely in the health care industry there are many hoops to jump through. Registering with CQC was by far the most stressful part of setting up my business, it took 9 months from first applying! Being CQC registered means that I have to follow policies and procedures in order to ensure YOUR safety when you access my services.
Ear wax removal is NOT regulated activity (unless you're a nurse, then you must be cqc registered), meaning that ANYONE can do it! Anyone without experience of ears, anatomy and physiology, or with no healthcare background!
The ear can be simple but it can be complex, I have over 11 years experience as a nurse and am not only trained to remove wax but I also have the experience to notice when things don't look normal.
CQC registration was tough but I hope that it gives you peace of mind that you are in safe hands when you use Waxxaway for your ear care needs!
