Do you wear Hearing aids?🦻 Ear buds? 🎧Ear plugs?📢

If you do then you could be more likely to get blocked ears due to wax.
This is because the wax cannot get out of the ear. Things to look out for-

👂Your ears might feel full or itchy

👂Your hearing aids might not be working as well as before

👂You might notice wax on the device when you remove it from your ear

LETS TALK COTTON BUDS!!! 👂

People often think that they're keeping their ears clean by using cotton buds to remove the wax but using cotton buds can cause multiple probelms!

👂The outer 3rd of the ear canal has tiny hairs trap the wax and debris, this them naturally moves out of the ear. If you push the wax deeper than the outer 3rd it can get stuck and cause a blockage.

👂Risk of perforation! The ear drum (Tympanic membrane) is around 0.1 mm thick and therefore very fragile. pushing anything into your ear risks damaging or perforating the ear drum.

👂The cotton wool can come off the stick and get stuck in the ear canal! This will then need to be removed by a professional. Watch below for how I removed a cotton but from a clients ear canal 👇

Wax is a natural substance and it is healthy to have it! its purpose id to trap dust and debris and stop it from travelling down the ear canal. Please leave your ear wax UNLESS it is causing problems!
