I'm so excited to announce that in partnership with Nottinghamshire Wildlife Trust I will facilitating two mindful nature connection events at Attenborough as part of their September Wild Weekend🥰🌳

September is such an exciting time to be out in the woods, as the leaves begin their seasonal display of oranges, reds and yellows, the berries on the branch ripen all around us, mushrooms begin popping up beneath our feet, and the autumn migration of birds is in full swing over our heads🍄🥰🍎🍂

Let me know if you have any questions💖🐦

Finally made it to Skomer Island to see some puffins on Thursday! And we certainly did see some puffins! It was a lovely sunny day in Pembrokeshire, with so many birds.✨️🐦

I love watching and listening to birds (although I will be the first to admit I am still quite 'beginner' in my ID qnd knowledge, which I don't mind in the slightest as I enjoy the process of simply being with, and enjoying the presence of, the nature all around me)🐦🥰💖

Have you been to Skomer Island, or seen any puffins or other favourite birds lately?💖💖

I remember I was really nervous before joining my first women's circle (back in 2022), but it was one of the best things I've done! To feel so held and supported and heard by a bunch of women I had never met before: as someone who has always felt quite shy and 'different', it made me feel so included and welcomed.💞✨️

I wanted to share a bit of info about how my particular circles work, for anyone who is interested in coming along. As always, I love to incorporate elements of nature and seasonal connection into my events, as I believe these make any occasion extra powerful!🥰🌳

And of course you can always drop me a message if you have any questions!🫶🌿

I always love to celebrate the full moons, but I often forget the new moon is magical too!🌚

For me, and many others, it's a new beginning: the excitement of seeing the moon grow a little more each evening, and of course the metaphorical reflections we can draw that too.🌙🌿 It's also the time when the sky is the darkest, allowing for unobstructed star gazing.✨️🌠

In summer, the full moon also rises so late in the evening it can be easy to miss, so I thought it would be fun to coincide our new woodland women's circles with the new moon (as opposed to our 'full moon women's nature immersions' I have guided in the previously🌝)

Do you celebrate the new moon? Have you ever been to a women's circle?🤔💖

(Music choice an ode to the other - unrelated- New Moon appreciators😂🦇)

A little guide to forest bathing with me! Fundamentally, it's all about connecting to nature, connecting to ourselves, and connecting to the community around us, in a gentle and intentional way. 🌳🌿

People often report feelings of profound relaxation, of increased wellbeing and of deeper appreciation of - and connection to - the natural world around us🫶✨️

Any questions? Let me know in the comments or via DM🥰🌳

An exciting few weeks ahead in the woodlands.

It's been a while since I've done any purely forest bathing gatherings, and even longer since I've hels a women's circle, yet these are two of my favourite ways to gather and experience the woods... so I am remedy that with this nourishing series of summer nature connection opportunities!🥰🌳🌞✨️

I really appreciated all the support on my post a few weeks ago about my journey of illness - and subsequent healing - and so wanted to share a little more about some things that supported me in connecting to the natural world during this time.💞🌸

Whether you are housebound, or just want to bring in a bit more nature connectedness into your home, I hope this post is helpful!🥰🍄

Nature connection is not just for those who can climb mountains: for our physical, mental and emotionally wellbeing, experiences in nature should* be accessible for all, regardless of our situations.🌳💖

*Of course this isn't always the case, as the disabling systems of oppression often systemically prevent the most vulnerable in our societies from accessing nature in an equal way. This is something I feel strongly about changing, however this post is simply intended to share my own personal experience of connecting to nature while disabled / very unwell.🌳✨️
