Meet Patrick from Peterborough 💜

Patrick came to us looking for a solution that would give back his independence and help him get out and about in his local community. Your powered wheelchair works hard for you every single day. Knowing what happens during a service gives you confidence that your equipment is always performing at its best 🔧

Here is what a powered wheelchair service typically involves:

➢ A full inspection of all mechanical and electrical components including motors, brakes, tyres and seating hardware

➢ Battery performance checks to identify any reduction in capacity or charging efficiency

➢ Joystick and control electronics testing to ensure all functions are responding correctly

➢ Software and programming checks on complex powerchairs to confirm powered functions and control systems are operating as intended

➢ Identification and replacement of any worn or damaged parts

➢ A full practical test to confirm the chair is performing safely and to the user's satisfaction

We recommend having your powered wheelchair serviced at least once a year. If you notice any changes in performance, unusual sounds or handling issues between services, it is always worth getting it looked at sooner rather than later.
