I remember the moment everything changed.
My owner said I was “too old” — too old to play, too old to love — and they walked away. 💔
I watched them disappear through the shelter doors, hoping they’d turn back. But they never did.
The cage was cold, the floor hard, and the nights endless. I waited, listening for footsteps that never came. My food stayed untouched; my eyes stayed fixed on the door.
Now, when people pass by, I stay quiet. I don’t bark or beg. I just hope that someone will see the love still beating in this tired old heart.
