🌿 A few last spaces left for our carers Eco Art & Forest Bathing Session on 10th September at The Wonky Garden 🌿

Carers, treat yourself to a gentle, well-deserved break in nature to unwind, reconnect, and unleash your creativity.

Join us for a relaxing afternoon filled with nature connection and eco-art activities—no artistic experience is needed at all! Simply come as you are, slow down, and enjoy creating in a peaceful setting.

📅 Date: Thursday, 10th September

⏰ Time: 2:00 PM – 4:30 PM

📍 Location: Wonky Community Garden, Widnes

What to expect:
✨ Botanical Clay Impressions – Create textures and patterns using natural leaves and flowers.
🔨 Botanical Hammer Printing – Transfer vibrant plant pigments onto fabric or paper.
🎨 Botanical Drawing & Natural Inks – Experiment with plant silhouettes and natural pigments.
🌲 Forest Bathing & Nature Connection – Guided invitations to pause, wander, and recharge.
☕ Tea & Closing Circle – Relax with a hot cup of tea, light snacks, and space to reflect.

This outdoor session is all about taking time for you. Dress warmly and comfortably for the weather—tea, snacks, and toilet facilities are provided on site.

Bank Holiday Closure Notice 📢

Please note that both our Runcorn and Widnes offices will be closed on Monday 31st August for the Bank Holiday.

We will reopen as normal on Tuesday 1st September at 10am.

We are pleased to announce another Understanding Mental Health & Neurological Conditions training session for our registered carers, delivered by Mersey Care NHS Foundation Trust Carer Engagement Team.

This 3-hour session aims to provide carers with an increased awareness of mental health and neurological conditions, helping you develop practical strategies to support your caring role.

🧠 Topics Covered:
Anxiety & Depression

Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) & Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD)

Bipolar Disorder, Psychosis & Schizophrenia

Eating Disorders

Dementia

Autism, Aspergers Syndrome & ADHD

This training is strictly for registered unpaid carers who are caring for someone under a Mersey Care Service (such as CAMHS, Brooker Centre, St Johns Unit & Vine Street).

Note: Attendees will need to register on the Carer Support Pathway on the first day of the course.

✨ Thank you to everyone who joined us yesterday at our Runcorn Carers Coffee Group! ☕💚

We had such a lovely get-together at the brand-new WELL Runcorn Hub — what a bright, welcoming venue! 🌿

There was plenty of chat, lots of laughs and even a game of bingo! 🎉 It was wonderful to spend some time together, meet new people and enjoy a bit of time out.
