Our volunteers are amazing!!! They are an integral part of our charity and our ability to continue to Make Change and Make Waves.
In 2026 we have been joined by Lee Pinnington, a chartered accountant who has completely updated our finance systems bringing his patience and expertise to support Waves as we contibue to grow.
Sue has been with Waves for 2 years, she supports our office and admin and events. A musician herself, Sue's passion and support are a big part of driving Waves forward.
Just this week the brilliant donated their time and expert tech support getting our website back up and running. Thank you! And we are excited to meet two more volunteers this coming week to support our partnerships, events and social media! 🙌💙

Over the past couple of years, Waves has grown quickly, allowing us to build amazing partnerships and reach more young people in ways that feel relevant and engaging.

This is one of them.

Across this academic year we have been partnering with whose Creative Media students have been filming our work, creating a series of short films while we’ve been delivering real sessions in the college through our immersive music and Rapper in Residence projects.

This has created space for young people to take part, to be seen and heard, and through their films to reflect on their own experiences of engaging with Waves. Hearing youth voice directly is invaluable. All funded thanks to

In our sessions we consistently see confidence grow, literacy improve and engagement shift when young people are given the right way in. Most importantly, they begin to recognise that their voice matters.

A very important ask for an amazing child who is supported in music therapy by our friends at George's Rockstars. Sophie has moved to end of life care and her friends are asking those in the music world if you can make her dream come true, please be in touch. 🌟

We are reaching out with a heartfelt and urgent plea 💔

An incredibly brave little girl, just 9 years old, is currently receiving end-of-life care after her liver transplant has sadly failed. She is now too poorly for the multi-organ transplant she desperately needed, and her family are focusing on keeping her comfortable and surrounded by love.

She has been through more in her short life than most of us could ever imagine, yet she remains full of light and courage.

Her absolute dream is to meet Harry Styles. She even has tickets to see him this June but heartbreakingly, it is now very unlikely she will be here to attend.

We have supported this beautiful family for the past few years, and we are asking, from the bottom of our hearts, if anyone can help make this one last wish come true. A message, a video, or if at all possible a visit would mean everything to her and her family in this incredibly difficult time.

Please share this far and wide. Let’s try to reach Harry or someone in his team who can help make a little girl’s dream come true.

For young children a music group can be incredibly beneficial for socialising, play, language development, rhythm, coordination, confidence and of course expression. Music matters! This is a wonderful new music group for children in Selsey run by music therapist, Anna. If you are close by we highly recommend getting in touch with The Music Nest and giving them a follow on socials. 🎶

I wanted to introduce myself as the face behind The Music Nest. I am a Mum or two boys aged 3 and 6 living in Selsey. I play the flute and piano and have been a music therapist for the past 14 years. I have seen countless times the way that young children engage with music spontaneously and absolutely love it, whilst at the same time developing a whole host of new skills (more about that in later posts). I am so looking forward to starting this group and I hope you will join me on the journey!

On this final day of , we’re sharing a beautiful picture from the therapy room, alongside a parent’s words about the positive impact music therapy with our wonderful therapist Anna has had on her daughter. Because the reason we raise the funds, make the films, attend the festivals and present our work is to ensure music therapy is accessible to those who need it most.

Dear Victoria

I wanted to take a moment to sincerely thank you for the continued support you and your charity provide. The work you do genuinely makes a difference, and we feel very fortunate to be part of it.

In particular, I would like to recognise Anna and the incredible job she is doing. Her approach, care, and consistency have had a real impact. The progress D is making is significant, and it is clear that Anna plays a key role in that journey.

We are seeing meaningful changes in D’s engagement, responsiveness, and overall development, which is something we do not take for granted. It is a reflection of both Anna’s skill and the wider support of your organisation.

Thank you again for everything you do. It means more than we can fully express.
