Coach Marina Hardiman

Coach Marina Hardiman I coach people on how to create sustainable habits and better their relationship with food/movement.

I do this by teaching how to link your life with habits and behaviours you would like to create with food/movement with accountability & support.

One of the hardest things about teaching is that most people only see the lesson.

They don’t see the child arriving upset because of something that happened at home.
They don’t see the behaviour that comes from trauma, anxiety, hunger or instability.
They don’t see the emotional load teachers carry every single day.

Teaching isn’t just delivering information anymore.

Teachers are expected to educate, support, nurture, manage behaviour, identify concerns, communicate with parents and somehow keep everything moving forward.

That’s a huge amount for one person to carry.

And after years of carrying everyone else’s problems, many teachers stop paying attention to their own.

Their energy drops.
Their confidence drops.
Their health drops.
Their goals get pushed further and further away.

That’s why my coaching isn’t just about helping teachers lose weight.

It’s about helping them reconnect with themselves again.

Creating routines that fit around real life.

Improving energy instead of constantly feeling drained.

Building consistency without needing perfect conditions.

And finally having something in life that is theirs.

Because teaching is what you do. It shouldn’t be all that you are.

DM “Teacher” if you’ve spent years looking after everyone else while putting yourself last.

One of the biggest mistakes I see teachers make is believing the problem starts in the evening.

They tell themselves they have no willpower.
No control.
That they’re always snacking.
Always picking.
Always reaching for food after work.

But most of the time the evening isn’t the problem.

It’s the result.

The problem started much earlier.

It started when lunch became another thing to squeeze in between meetings, reports, emails, behaviour issues, parent communication, and trying to get through the day.

It started when everyone else’s needs came before your own.

It started when a coffee became breakfast and a cereal bar became lunch.
Then 4pm arrives.
You’re exhausted.
Hungry.
Mentally drained.

And suddenly you’re standing in the kitchen wondering why food is all you can think about.

I know this because I spent 13 years teaching and lived this cycle myself.

The women I work with don’t need more willpower.
They need structure.
They need support.

They need a way of looking after themselves that actually works alongside teaching instead of fighting against it.

If this sounds familiar, DM me the word “FORGOT” and let’s chat about how my coaching can help.

June Marina and September Marina have very different conversations.

June Marina is excited.

This summer will be different.

More sleep.
More walks.
More water.
More gym sessions.
More energy.
More time to finally look after herself.

Then summer arrives.

The first week you’re sick.

The second week you’re catching up on life.

Friends want coffee.

Family want to meet up.

There’s a holiday.

A few lie-ins.

A few takeaways.

A few “I’ll start next week” conversations.

Then suddenly it’s late August.

And September Marina is standing in front of the mirror wondering how she ended up back in the same position again.

The worst part isn’t the weight.

It’s the frustration.

The feeling that another summer passed and you never did the things you promised yourself you would.

I know because I spent years doing exactly this as a teacher.

Every September became the month I tried to fix what summer had undone.

Restriction.

Starting over.

Promising myself Christmas would be different.

Then repeating the same cycle all over again.

You deserve to enjoy your summer.

But don’t spend the next six weeks abandoning yourself and hoping September feels different.

The teachers who feel best when they walk back into school aren’t the ones who were perfect all summer.

They’re the ones who enjoyed their break without disappearing from their own life.

I don’t think anyone enters teaching expecting it to become their entire life.

You start because you care.

You stay late because you care.

You take work home because you care.

You put yourself last because you care.

Then one day you realise that the job has slowly expanded into every corner of your life.

The thing I hear most from teachers who join my coaching isn’t:

“I want to lose weight.”
It’s:
“I want to feel like myself again.”

They want energy when they get home.

They want to stop thinking about work all evening.

They want to stop feeling guilty every time they prioritise themselves.

They want health goals that don’t disappear every busy week.

They want confidence.

They want balance.

They want a life that feels bigger than school.

That’s what my coaching helps them build.

The weight loss is often the result.

Getting themselves back is the real win.

DM “TEACHER” if you’re tired of feeling like teaching gets the best of you and you’re left with what’s left over.

Every Monday feels like a fresh start.

Every Friday feels like a setback.

And somewhere in between, another promise gets broken.

Most women don’t need more motivation.
They don’t need another challenge, meal plan, or quick fix.

They need to understand why they keep stopping.

Because if you never address the reason you fall off, you’ll spend years repeating the same cycle:
Start.
Stop.
Feel guilty.
Start again.

I know because I lived it.

I thought I needed more willpower.
What I actually needed was routines that worked when life wasn’t perfect.

When I was stressed.
When I was tired.
When work was busy.
When motivation disappeared.

That is exactly what I help my clients build.

Not perfect weeks.
Not all-or-nothing plans.

Real habits that survive real life.

If you’re exhausted from constantly restarting and want support to finally build consistency that lasts, DM me the word COACHING.

Teachers are counting down the days until summer break.

And honestly, after the year you’ve had, you deserve it.

But this is also the point where so many teachers accidentally repeat the same cycle.

They tell themselves they’ll think about their health later.

They’ll get moving next week.

They’ll get back into routine in August.

They’ll sort it before school starts.

Then September arrives.

The work clothes feel tighter.

Energy is lower.

Confidence has taken another hit.

And they’re standing in front of the mirror having the exact same conversation they had last year.

I’m not saying spend summer dieting.

I’m not saying don’t enjoy the holidays.

I’m saying don’t spend the next 6 weeks abandoning yourself and hoping September will somehow feel different.

The teachers who walk back into school feeling their best aren’t the ones who were perfect all summer.

They’re the ones who kept showing up for themselves while still enjoying their break.

Don’t let this September feel like the last one.

DM CHANGE if you’re ready to put yourself back on your own priority list this summer.

To this day Qatar World Cup 2022 is one of the best things I have experienced. And that is coming from someone who doesn’t follow soccer at all!

With all the abuse Qatar took in the lead up, to the attacks from all media outlets to them showing them exactly what they can do. From tickets that cost me £30 to the most expensive being £80 and that’s not because I lived there!

Transport between games meticulously organised to the fact I attended two games in one day! And for less than £20 for the 2 days!

Everyone that was there all spoke about how incredible it was. People still enjoyed a drink before and after the games.

But for some reason the media outlets are very quiet just now 🧐🤔😂😂

So here I am down memory lane of an incredible time with friends 🥰
