Rye Health and Care Hub At present we have massage therapists, an osteopath, an acupuncturist and counsellors working here. and have various visiting clinics.

A local community Charity which supports both Rye Memorial Hospital and operates a community hub delivering health services for the local community in Rye and the surrounding area. We host various activities such as Pilates, exercise, art etc. See our photos section for more info.

It's World Mental Health Day, and asking for help is still one of the bravest things anyone does 🧡

Two services offer free counselling from our Community Hub:

Eggtooth for young people aged 11 to 17
Community Plus Counselling for adults

Both are available via rural rother PCN GP referrals, so the first step is a conversation with your surgery. Mention Rye Health and Care Hub and they can point you our way.

Whatever you're carrying, you don't have to carry it by yourself.

October is Free Wills Month 💙

Many local solicitors are offering a free will-writing service this month. In return, they simply ask you to consider a donation to a charity close to your heart.

Making a will is one of the kindest things you can do for the people you love. It brings peace of mind and makes things easier for your family when they need it most.

If you'd like to, you can also leave a gift to Rye Health and Care in your will. Every legacy, large or small, makes a genuine difference to our local community, now and for years to come.

There's a lot going on at our community hub, and it's all built around good company:

🏃 Fitness classes to keep you moving at your own pace
☕ Midday Mingle every Wednesday between 10.30am and 12.30pm for lunch and a natter
🤝 Active Friends, for getting out and doing more alongside others..and plenty more besides.

1st October is Gift Aid Awareness Day, and we have a small favour to ask ✅

If you're a UK taxpayer, ticking the Gift Aid box means we can claim an extra 25p for every £1 you donate, at no extra cost to you. A £10 donation becomes £12.50. A £40 donation becomes £50. It takes seconds. Just tick the box.

That difference pays for the things you see every day at our Hub: the heating, the tea, the room we give free to local services and/or equipment and patient support in the Hospital. Stoptober starts next month! 🍂

Stop smoking for 28 days and you're five times more likely to quit for good. The support is free, local and closer than you think. One You East Sussex have teamed up with gloji smoke free, and you can choose how you do it:

In person via 1-to-1 appointments with an experienced stop smoking mentor at a clinic near you, free quit aids like e-cigarettes and ni****ne patches at every session, and regular carbon monoxide testing so you can see your progress.
By phone with flexible 1-to-1 calls at a time that suits you, including evenings and weekends, with your quit aids delivered to your door.

Either way you also get free access to their digital programme: 12 weeks of videos, tips and guides, and a pass for their online gym.

It's fully funded by East Sussex County Council and available to access at our community hub. The next session is on Friday 25 September so please contact One You to book your appointment on 01323 404600 or by emailing [email protected].

Times are undeniably tough for everyone right now. But in a challenging economic climate, local demand for both our free mental health spaces and local Hospital support has soared. 📈

If you are in a position to help, a predictable monthly donation is the most powerful way to protect our town’s vulnerable residents. It gives our Charity the stability to say "yes" every time a local group asks for help.
