My happy place 🌿

Living with arthritis and chronic illness can be exhausting at times. When the pain is high or life feels overwhelming, my garden is the place I go to reset.

It’s my little sanctuary - somewhere I can slow down, breathe deeply, connect with nature, and forget about my health struggles for a while.

Gardening may take me longer than it once did, but watching everything grow and transform brings me so much joy. It reminds me that progress doesn’t have to be fast to be meaningful 💜

Where is your happy place? The place that helps you switch off and find a little peace? I’d love to hear in the comments below 🤍

A little update after my colonoscopy đź’ś

I’ve been told I need to give up the gym for a while whilst my body heals and I focus on my health. Honestly, that’s been difficult to hear because exercise has become such an important part of my mental and physical wellbeing.

But right now, I need to listen to my body and take things slowly.

I’d love to hear your suggestions - what hobbies, activities or gentle things help you fill your time and lift your mood when you’re unable to do the things you usually love? 🤍

The world feels pretty heavy and chaotic at times right now, and when you’re also dealing with chronic illness, anxiety or personal struggles, it can be very easy to get consumed by it all.

That’s why spaces like Journey With Jason matter so much to me. A place of support, kindness, hope and understanding in a world that can sometimes feel overwhelming.

No matter how dark things may feel, protect your light 🤍

I think
grief changes
the way we see
small moments.

After loss,
you begin to understand
how fragile life is.

How quickly
ordinary things
become memories.

A quiet morning.
A familiar face.
A shared silence
on the front steps
with someone you love.

Things that once felt small
suddenly become sacred.

Because when you’ve lost deeply,
you realize
life was never really built
from grand moments alone.

It was built
from little things.

The way someone looked at you.
The comfort of presence.
The feeling
of not being alone
for a little while.

I think
that’s why healing
often begins quietly.

Not through dramatic change—
but through learning
how to notice beauty again.

A soft breeze.
Warm light.
The sound of laughter.
The peace
of simply existing
beside someone
who matters to you.

And maybe
that is what appreciation
really means—

understanding
that nothing lasts forever,
and choosing
to love it fully anyway.

Because one day,
these ordinary moments
become the memories
we ache to return to.

So pause,
even briefly.

Let yourself feel
the tenderness
inside simple things.

They may not seem important now—

but someday,
they might become
the pieces of life
your heart holds onto most.
