Okay, so following on with my Reiki tales...

There are a few sessions that stick in my mind as standing out for different reasons, and I will get to those in due course (no names will be used, but I assume particular people will recognise their sessions).

First I will tell you what happened during my attunements, all 3 of them!

I have had 2 reiki masters, the first did my level 1 and 2 attunements, and a separate master for my level 3/4.

Level 1 attunement, I literally felt absolutely nothing.
I saw a bright light, as I remember, it was gold.
I was told I had a guide who was a brother in a previous life, a Nepalese monk who looked after me then and now.

Level 2 was totally different!
I had a total emotional breakdown!
It broke down something inside me that needed to move.
I also have a very tall guide at this level called Ben (that's a shortened version of his name) who is a warrior.

Level 3 was in a group setting with some beautiful ladies who I am still friends with now!
It was discovered that my solar plexus chakra was caged!
That has taken some work to release.
The energies.on this level were totally different, and took a long time to settle down and for me to adjust to it all.

I haven't looked back!!

I can now deliver a reiki session, and teach it to others as well, and have done for more than a decade.

So, I said I would talk about some of my experiences during my 13+ years being first a reiki practitioner, then master.

My first story is slightly before that, and it's the first time I experienced Reiki for myself.

I was gifted a session with a local Reiki master as a birthday present in 2013.
I wasn't exactly a sceptic, but I wasn't sure what to expect at all.

The session itself seemed unremarkable, I was calm and quiet, the master's hands were hot.
That was all I remember.
The real difference for me came the next day.

I woke up PAIN FREE for the first time in over 20 years!

After that, I knew I had to learn Reiki!

Now, I'm not promising you pain relief, but it has been known to happen!!
What I will promise is an hour, just for you, to relax and I will hold space for you as your own Reiki journey begins.

I have been asked to explain a reiki session on a number of occasions, and I find it very difficult to do so, because it will change every single time!

I can give you a vague idea what to expect, but I have some weird and wild stories from sessions!
The realisation that every session is different, even when we seem to be the same people in the same place every time is intense.

In general, a session will involve me taking you through a quick form, then you laying down, and I will hold space for you, and gently lay my hands over your major joints and organs while you relax, allowing your body and emotions time to reset.

What you feel will vary; it can be heat, cold, tingling, emotions, the need to cough, gurgling stomach, literally, the list is endless!

I will regale you with stories from my 13+ years as a reiki practitioner as the week goes on. (No names will be used!!)
