🍂🍁🌧 Where has the sunshine gone!? Felt like an autumn day so a nice warm fire and some fire starting practice was in store this week 🔥

🌧 The rain doesn't stop play in the woods! We had a lot of fun with some of our younger adventurers making streams, boats and fishing rods to catch leaves 🍃 We have lots of options for different interests in each group to enable plenty of child led learning and experimenting!

Wish I could bottle their enthusiasm on such a wet day, the squeals and giggles is priceless 😊

We are looking forward to welcoming our groups back next week after the half term break for more fun in the woods 🌳
As usual we ended the half term with a little cookout, here's some campfire popcorn..isn't it so satisfying to watch it pop!?

We love to follow our groups interests and tailor activities to the individual. Our sessions do not follow a one size fits all approach, supporting the child and the things they enjoy makes for fun and engaging sessions 😀

Our sessions are not just about learning things they are also a great opportunity for our young people to make friends, play and have fun. The woods is a safe space for all and we encourage free play and building relationships within each group (with nature as well as the humans! 😉)

The spring is the perfect time of year to make willow whistles! They are not easy and take a fair bit of perseverance and our groups have done a wonderful job of giving it a go and as a result the woods has been a less quiet place! 😉😅
It's amazing what can be made with simple stick, some skills and plenty of patience 👌
