We have thoroughly enjoyed welcoming Shaun Herr and the students from Outwood Academy this July. We spent the morning dancing, singing, and sharing lots of smiles and laughter together.

A huge thank you to everyone at Outwood Academy for spending the morning with us. The children always bring so much joy and happiness to our residents, and their visits are truly appreciated. We look forward to seeing you all again soon!

We thoroughly enjoyed taking part in Care Home Open Week last week, welcoming members of the public, friends, and family to join us for a variety of activities, including exercise sessions and bingo. Guests also enjoyed refreshments and homemade cakes throughout the day. We would like to thank everyone who attended and helped make the event so special. We had a wonderful day and loved spending time together.

Lucy has been selected as Employee of the Quarter in recognition of her dedication and outstanding support to the ground floor residents. She was nominated by several family members who highlighted her compassion, attentiveness, and ability to recognise changes in their loved ones’ needs and act promptly.

One family shared how their mum had been struggling to eat finger foods for some time. Lucy identified that a different modified diet was needed and worked with the kitchen team to arrange this change, enabling their mum to enjoy her meals again.

Another family praised Lucy for the support she provided to both them and their mum during the settling-in process when she first arrived at the home.

Lucy was also recognised for the care and reassurance she offered to a family during the difficult transition to nursing care for their mum. Family members described her as kind, considerate, and always willing to help, with nothing ever being too much trouble.

Well done, Lucy, and thank you for all your continued hard work and dedication.

🎉 Celebrating a Remarkable Milestone – 100 Years Young! 🎉
What a truly special day we had at our care home as we celebrated the 100th birthday of one of our wonderful residents!

Family, friends, fellow residents, and staff came together to mark this incredible milestone with a day full of joy, laughter, and cherished memories. The home was beautifully decorated with balloons, banners, and photographs highlighting a century of life, experiences, and achievements.

Our birthday guest of honour was treated to a delicious birthday cake, thoughtful gifts, and plenty of cards and well-wishes from loved ones. Everyone enjoyed sharing stories, reminiscing about the past, and celebrating a life that has touched so many people.

Reaching 100 years is an extraordinary achievement, and it was a privilege for us all to be part of such a memorable occasion. The smiles, laughter, and happiness throughout the day made it a celebration to remember.

From everyone at our care home, we wish a very happy 100th birthday and thank you for allowing us to share in this wonderful milestone. Here's to a century of treasured memories and an inspiring life well lived.

There’s nothing quite like the buzz of our Wednesday Coffee Mornings!

Our residents have been having a brilliant time catching up over fresh tea, coffee, and plenty of sweet treats. The competitive spirit was out in full force this week as we got stuck into a few lively rounds of Bingo and some nostalgic Picture Quiz games.

From spotting famous faces to waiting for that final Bingo number, the room was full of laughter and great conversation. It’s easily the highlight of the week!
