I thought I’d share my experiences through the past of being undiagnosed autistic all my life.

I received the diagnosis at the grand old age of 32.
It took a few weeks for me to sit with and finally accept. When reflecting, I understood finally why I struggled so much throughout life and why people treated me differently. Well, because I was always different? And that clearly bothered a lot of people.

Yet many people close to me just chose to label me as difficult, horrible or hard to deal with.

This is for anyone else who is autistic and hasn’t found it easy to get along with others. Even family members.
Whether you’re 5 or 50, you are so loved and there are people out there waiting to support you. 🙏

You deserve more than the bare minimum.
You deserve more than half-arsed love.
You deserve more than lies and cop outs.
You deserve more than the gaslighting.
You deserve more than harbouring the wrongdoings of others.
