One of the reasons why I’ve been so quiet lately. 🤍

​A client recently shared their transition with me—I was only the second person they told. This beautiful gift was a thank you for the space we’ve shared since.

​Even more movingly, they recently asked me to stand as a legal witness for their official name change. ✍️✨

​Being invited into someone’s history in such a personal way is a profound privilege. It’s a reminder that the work I do at Willow Leaf PIercing is, first and foremost, about human connection and providing a safe, affirming place for people to be their truest selves.

I've been experimenting with anodising lately ✨

These are different pieces of jewellery, but all the same titanium — the colours come from using different voltages. No coatings or paint, just the surface of the metal changing.

It’s something I’m still refining and not something you see offered everywhere, but I love how vibrant these are turning out 💜💙

I see posts like this quite often, so I wanted to share a professional perspective.

Piercing isn’t just “paying for a hole.”

What you’re actually paying for is sterile single-use needles, implant-grade jewellery, proper placement for your anatomy, and a trained professional who understands how to minimise risk and help your piercing heal correctly.

When piercings are done at home, the most common problems I see are infections, incorrect angles, poor jewellery quality, and piercings that struggle to heal long term.

A professional piercer isn’t charging for the hole — they’re charging for safety, training, and experience.

We took everything slowly — talked through the process, paused when needed, and made sure she felt safe the whole time. No rushing, ever.
She did amazingly, and seeing how happy she was afterwards made my day.
